Pasta attachment. We love us some pasta in this household.
When my girls were little and they were acting up, I used to punish them my making me cookies. It was a win-win situation, it kept them busy and I got some cookies. One day my daughter said do we have to be bad to make cookies mommy? They are grown-ups today and love to bake.
I have made pasta by hand a few times. I would love a Kitchen aid with a pasta maker attachment.
I made pasta by hand a few times and always wanted a pasta maker/kitchen aid mixer.
I love to bake my moms recipes- it makes me feel so good and connected to her!
I love to bake Christmas cookies with my daughter using recipes from my grandmother’s hand written recipes that are tattered from use, conjuring up long ago memories from when I baked with my mother .. lasting memories despite the fact my mother passed away when I was young.
Fav memory, the Ukrainian dishes my baba and aunts would make.
I’d use the pasta attachment..
LOVE to bake brownies and my Mom’s raspberry cookies!! YUMMY!!!
My grandmother always made cabbage rolls and perogies for Christmas – and they were always delicious. No offence, turkey, potatoes and stuffing, but ………… there’s nothing as tasty as Eastern European food !
When we were kids my mom would make custom ginger bread houses. One year she even made a replica of our own house.
When I was a kid my mum used to bake Christmas cake every year (bake at the end October and feed it whiskey for 2 months). When the cake was in the oven Mum told us we have to be very quiet because any noise at all could make the cake fall. I think she told us that to get a couple of hours of peace in the house. Now years later I bake the cake myself from her recipe and of course I tell my daughter she has to be quiet, the peace is a Christmas tradition :-).
Every year I would make Christmas cookies with my mom. Eight to ten different kinds of cookies, squares and baked goods. It was always the special thing I did with my mom. Now I do the Christmas baking with my kids and we make sure to make extra so we can share with teachers, friends and neighbours.
when I was younger I used to go and visit my grandma after school. She taught me how to cook and bake. The very first time I made my magic bars let’s just say I didn’t succeed. My grandma laughed so hard. i said why didn’t you tell me that i had forgotten to crushed the corn flakes. her response to me was if I tell you the chance are you’ll do it again when I’m not with you, this way you’ll remember it and have a good funny story to say when you are older.
My mom would make huge batches of cinnamon raisin bread and my kids would be kneading the dough along with her. Still to this day they would rather have that at Christmas than presents!
I’ve tried to make my own fruit-cake in prior seasons, with not-great results. A stand mixer like this, might help me do better.
Making Christmas cookies with my niece and nephew. I always give them their own pile to decorate so we know which ones stay at the house lol
I would love the pasta attachment. I feel like this would be a great date night activity to make fresh pasta
I love when my mom makes her special sponge cake. I like to pick away at the top crust right out of the oven before it gets soft because it’s like eating a muffin top!
My mom used to make her famous almond roca every year for Christmas gifts. I continue the tradition today.

When my gramma was alive, each year, at Christmas, she’d send us her almond cookies in the large rectangular tub of margarine she used in the recipe. After she passed, I found her recipe and began making them for our family at Christmas.. to now I feel once a season, they’re so good. And now, I use butter (sorry gramma, butter is just better!)
I remember when we were small children, we would always sit at the kitchen table and decorate xmas cookies.
my parents made Malasadas every family occasion. I’d love to recreate these”ugly donuts” with the kitchenaid mixer. The dough hook would be great for mixing up the dough.
one year and I my mum and I decided to make home made Perogies–a Manitoba favourite along with cabbage rolls. Unfortunately we didn’t separate them before boiling, and the dough stuck together, creating a huge unruly giant perogy! It is one of my fondest memories of Christmastime and we still chuckle about that monster mistake. I would love to try the pasta maker attachment along with all the other amazing features of this beautiful mixer!
I’ve made sweet cinnamon-raisin bread in a bread machine, but I’d like to mix the dough in this stand mixer, and see how it turns out.
I grew up on a small farm in SK. One doesn’t really appreciate what one has with the wholesome foods and living style – until you no longer have those items in your life…..fresh eggs, whole milk, butter, vegetables raised without chemicals and well water to name a few.
Mom made dessert every night to make the meal dollars stretch. we always checked out dessert option as soon as we got home from school.
I made cookies with my kids and they had the best time decorating them.
Making beautiful cakes for my family, from my late father in laws recipe books. He was a French pastry chef in Toronto for over 45 years, and had a wonderful little pastry shop that I will never forget.
I posted about this on Twitter \ X ! @itsdftw

Making COOKIES!
My mother-in-law and I have a very special relationship and it all started in the kitchen. We love to make family recipes together (from my family and hers) and it’s always extra special during the holiday season.

My mom has been such a caring loving person for as long as I can remember, and now that she’s in her 80s making Christmas cookies is a tradition I love seeing her keeping up. But mixing those ingredients is taking a toll on her hands and arms, and I know this mixer would help us all. I get more cookies!
Making homemade gingerbread cookies with the little ones in our family. The pasta attachment would be perfect for making my own pasta!
When we were small children, we would always sit at the kitchen table and decorate xmas cookies.

I was pretty proud of myself when I learned to bake bread during the covid years for the holidays. I had no clue it was so easy.
Our family always loves competing for who can make the best pie. They get better every year.
When I was diagnosised with Dietary Restrictions and allergies, my mom went through all my favourite recipes and tested them with replacement ingredients. Once she found the right substitutions, she modified the recipe book and ensured i always had my childhood favs and didnt miss out an on any family traditions
