Along with other new products like OLED TVs, sound bars, and appliances, LG is also showcasing a refreshed line of gram laptops at CES 2023. Most notable in the new line is the Ultraslim, LG’s slimmest gram laptop to date.
The Ultraslim is the thinnest gram yet
The LG gram Ultraslim, model 15Z90RT, is the thinnest gram model in the line to date at just 10.99mm in depth when closed (similar in size to a smartphone or notepad) and weighing only 998 grams.
Equipped with a 15.6-inch 1,920 x 1,080 OLED display with an Anti-glare Low Reflection (AGLR) coating and Intel’s 13th-Gen Raptor Lake chip with Performance Cores, it also ships with a compact adapter.
Enjoy up to 400 nits of brightness, 60Hz refresh rate, and a 60Wh battery; along with 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of memory and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage.
On-the-go in Style
Also new to the line are the LG gram Style laptops, which come in 16- and 14-inch sizes (models 16Z90RS and 14Z90RS) and with an elegant glass design that makes the colours shine and shift dynamically, depending on the light and angle. A ‘hidden’ haptic touchpad, meanwhile, includes soft LED backlighting that illuminates with a touch.
Each of the new laptops offers high refresh rates, a Gen4 NVMe solid-state drive (SSD), and support for Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI connectivity. You’ll lso enjoy atmospheric audio with Dolby Atmos, a new feature for LG gram laptops this year.
LG is also showing new 17, 16, 15, and 14 gram laptops (models 17Z90R, 16Z90R, 15Z90R and 14Z90R). The 17- and 16-inch models include an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB laptop GPU, Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake P – core CPU, and a Gen4 NVMe SSD.
Even though they have larger batteries than previous generation models, able to handle up to 20 hours of video playback per charge, they are also more lightweight, weighing under 1.45 kg. These models also include the same compact adapter that comes with the gram Ultraslim.
All of the new laptops have an IPS panel with anti-glare coating and variable refresh rate (VRR) 4 support.
Laptop and tablet convertibles
Additionally, the 2023 line will include the LG gram 2-in-1 and +view. The new 2-in-1 comes in 16- and 14-inch sizes (models 16T90R and 14T90R) and, like other convertible models, can easily switch from laptop to tablet mode as desired. It comes with a four-way slim bezel design, sturdy aluminum frame, and pre-installed note-taking and drawing apps that are optimized for use with the LG Stylus Pen, the Wacom AES 2.0.
Use the LG +view portable monitor for LG gram (model 16MR70) to double the screen real estate. This newer version of the portable screen has dual USB Type-C ports for connecting to two devices at once along with two-way power delivery.
LG’s new gram laptop lineup will be launching globally starting from next month: stay tuned for more details.
