E3 2018 is just around the corner. It’s my fourth year going into sweet LA to give our readers the best news on games we’re going to play through the next season. Am I ready for one of my best trips of the year? Oh yes! This year will also have something different because I’ll be Best Buy Canada’s ears and eyes out there covering for both blogs, English and French. Quite a challenge I tell you, but I’m up for it.

My colleagues will share the freshest news and all the games they’re excited about. Each year comes a new game, one we never heard of, or only dreamed about. This is why I love going to E3. For all this excitement and being there amplifies everything.

What I’m most excited about E3 2018

Los Angeles is getting ready for E3 2018. Billboards are already showing the most anticipated games on the streets, such as this huge Marvel’s Spider-Man video billboard ad shared on Insomniac Games’ Twitter feed. I can’t wait to see it live and hope I’ll get to play the demo at PlayStation’s booth. I’ll try my best but I feel I won’t be the only one waiting in line ….

I’m also eager to know more about Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima’s project. We’re ready for some gameplay and I hope this year’s the one. Sony stated its conference would cover 4 major titles. The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima are the other ones’ fans will learn more about.

Speaking of fans, Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. on Switch will be the highlight of the company’s presence at E3. Can’t wait to visit the booth and see everything Nintendo has in store for us coming this fall. The Switch is on a roll and the 3DS still has good games to offer. Also, with Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee! revealed just now, I hope Nintendo have a demo for us at E3 2018. I’ll be sure to tell you all about it!

E3 is where we play games for the first time

E3 is the place to be for playing the latest demos of just announced games. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, The Division 2 are two of them that I’m curious about. I want to see how Blackout will stand out from the battle royale genre, and I feel like The Division 2 will expand the possibilities from the first game to a new level.

Just this week, we learn DC Comics villains will get their own LEGO game with LEGO DC Super-Villains due October 16th. There was also the enigmatic reveal trailer for Fallout 47 from Bethesda, which reminds me I need to walk by their booth. Every company presents a main theme at the Convention Center. Let’s find out what E3 2018 has in store.

Of course, there’s a lot we don’t know yet. I have booked appointments for “unannounced game” and “secret game” every day between June 10th and June 14th. This is part of the excitement of going to E3 2018 and I’ll share all that on the blog.

I can’t wait for surprises and see first hand what developers and publishers have in store for us, gamers. What game or news are you most excited about? Don’t be shy, and please comment here on the blog and on social media with the hashtag #BBYatE3. Hopefully I’ll get the info on your favorites!
