How to enter our Play at Best Buy contest

Entering this contest is easy and you can enter in two different ways:

  1. From May 20th to June 30th, in a comment below this article, tell us what gaming gear that is available at Best Buy you would like to get, and how it would improve your gaming experience; you must include the link to that product from the Best Buy website in your comment. 
  2. From June 3rd to June 30th, Best Buy will hide a coin (like the one you see here) somewhere on the Play at Best Buy event page;  click on that coin to reveal a secret code located somewhere on the next page. Once you have the code, email it to bestbuyblog@bestbuycanada.ca with “Play at Best Buy Contest” in the subject. Do not post the code in a comment on the blog. Each Friday during June (for a total of four Fridays) the Best Buy team will place the coin in a new location on the Play at Best Buy event page and clicking on it will lead you to a new secret code that you can then email to the blog team for an additional contest entry. That means you can enter four times by emailing those four unique codes. Make sure to come back to this contest and send each week’s unique code to our email address for the best chance to win! 

What you can win

At the end of this contest we will randomly draw 8 winners from all eligible entries posted on the blog (in English and French) and sent via email; each will receive one of the prize packages listed here: Xbox Series S package, Nintendo Switch OLED package, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition package, Samsung Smart TV, Meta Quest 2, Razer package, HyperX package, and Corsair package.

Prefer editions that are backward compatible and play disks. I do not play online due to my service bandwidth for my Internet is not high speed, so I use disks and the occasional download if it works offline. Everything needs updating.

    I’d like the play gear gaming chair. I’m a huge microsoft flight simulator and racing sim/racing arcade (GT5:prologue will always have a special place in my heart haha). I mean, EVERY racing sim fan NEEDS a proper bucket chair and mount for their racing wheel!!! It helps a lot to give that final piece of immersion.

I would be ecstatic to win the PS5 Digital Edition, I currently play a few different games on the PS4 everyday, the PS5 would make a great difference in playing my favourite game Warzone especially because of the FPS being double then it is in ps4 which gives the player a advantage to win and there’s lots of other improvements with the ps5 which will improve my gameplay compared to now on my ps4.   47. The Samsung 43″ 4K UHD 60Hz 4ms GTG VA LED Smart Monitor would give me a bigger viewing size and it’s specs would mean no lag in fast paced situations.

Although it’d be really cool to win any one of the prizes, I think what would enhance my experience the most at this moment would also benefit my body’s overall well-being, and that would be to replace my chair with something like the Razer Iskur X gaming chair. Since I also work from home, I think this will be better for my body, to have a specialized chair that will allow me to sit for an ungodly number of hours and hopefully, my body will still function properly!
