You will encounter numerous references to classic games, and figuring out which games they are from is half the fun.

Astro Bot’s gameplay is a fun mix of creativity and precision. Each level has unique challenges and enemies. You can jump, hover, punch, and use special abilities to get past obstacles. Astro has new abilities such as frog gloves, a dog jetpack and more features that keep the gameplay fresh and exciting. Trust me when I say, there is a lot to see and do in Astro Bot.
The game has 80 stages, each filled with puzzles and collectibles. There are hidden bots and puzzle pieces in every level. And, some levels have even more secrets to uncover! This approach encourages you to explore and rewards your curiosity. Astro Bot also has a hub world, the crash site, where you can interact with the bots you’ve rescued. Running on different surfaces feels unique, adding to the immersion. Overall, I really loved and enjoyed playing Astro Bot. It perfectly mixes creative gameplay with beautiful visuals and sound. I can honestly say that Astro Bot is one of the best platformer games that I have played.

The game’s sound design works hand-in-hand with the visuals to create a truly immersive atmosphere. From the delightful sound effects to the catchy background music, every audio detail adds to the playing experience. The game features memorable songs that really enhance the gameplay. On more than one occasion, I found myself humming some of the songs from the game.
Astro Bot also honours PlayStation’s rich history with its adorable character designs. You’ll encounter different bots dressed as famous video game characters, which adds a nostalgic feel to the adventure. In all there are 305 bots to find! These nods to the past are cleverly integrated into the gameplay, making it even more fun for longtime fans.
