We sent these out for an independent, honest review—and those reviews were very positive—but the best way to find out how good a speaker sounds to you, is to bring it into your home and try it out. After all, we each have our own expectations for how music should sound in our home. Enter this contest for a chance to find out how well Polk speakers meet your expectations. What do you look for in new speakers

Great sound! That should be the number one reason to get a new speaker. However, in recent years, people have been compromising on the quality of the speakers to gain functionality. Most recently, for instance, the hottest speakers have come from Google and Amazon; they have small speakers that deliver “okay” sound. Their main feature, though, is the included voice assistant. I think they are really cool (since last year I have purchased seven of them and given most of them away as gifts—and kept 3 for myself!).

Polk Audio speakers, on the other hand, offer great sound. You aren’t compromising on sound quality with Polk. Of course, Polk is evolving to keep up with the needs of current consumers: consumers like me and many others with a love for smart speakers.

Google assist and Polk in one compact package

As I said at the beginning of this article, we sent out some Polk audio speakers for honest reviews. Those reviews were very positive. For example, Erin reviewed the Polk MagniFi Mini and thought the quality was “outstanding.” Here is her video review:

Blogger Darren Blakeborough reviewed the Polk Assist speaker and loved the versatility: it comes with Google Assistant built-in! Darren loved that it delivered awesome audio quality and had the incredible smart functionality of Google’s voice assistant in one package. If I had this I’d put the Polk Assist in the dining room, and the Polk Magnify Mini with my television, so that I could have multi-room audio, all controlled with either my voice or my phone.   1. I have very loud tinnitus and if the audio isn’t clear, I have a hard time understanding what is being said and it being wireless I can have it with me in any room in the house

  3. I’m looking for great audio because I just regained my hearing after being deaf for 30 years. I’m discovering so many wonderful sounds all over again.

  4. I was lucky enough to see (well hear them really) these awesome speakers in action and they are powerful and send clear and distinct sound farther than I would have anticipated from this small device! Lovely bass sounds and clear treble. For me, it’s all about the sound.

  13. Great audio is what I always want in a speaker, regardless of size of price. If it doesn’t have great audio, then there is no point in getting external speakers, just use the devices built in speakers.

  14. Really good sound is important for any speaker, but they also need to be compact enough to fit into smaller spaces, in my case.

  25. The obvious thing to look for is great sound but I want dynamic sound. I am also looking for the amount of drivers in the speaker, the range, connectivity, and most importantly image; will it fit in with my 18th century Elizabethan vase and record player idk lol.

  29. It’s gotta be a good microphone and speakers, so that I can play decent music at a crazy loud volume but still be able to activate Google Assistant without yelling at the top of my lungs while that’s happening!

  40. For me I would love a speaker with voice control because I have a 3 month old baby. It’s difficult to find a device to change the music playing when your holding a baby or playing with him. Using your voice would make things much easier. That is the future
