Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

  1. We NEED The “UBTECH Star Wars Storm Trooper Robot”, Our Son Has always Had a Soft Side for the Storm Troopers. But this Trooper will be put to WORK! . As Our is off to university next year and Myself Nor MOM! will be there to Get His A$$ Out Of Bed ON Time!. This could become a very useful little Storm Trooper indeed! 🙂

  6. I have to say the Sphero R2-D2. I have BB-8 and my daughter loves it (she’s 3). I really want to introduce her to the original cute droid and maybe they can play together.

  9. By far the coolest is Lenovo’s Jedi challenges. I am in a lightsaber dueling club and this would for sure help in honing those skills

  11. The Littlebits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit seems really interesting and my favourite from the toys listed. My boy would enjoy learning how to build a “robot” and the mechanics behind it. He would be able to use his smartphone for something other than just playing games with the app that goes with it.

  12. I’m entering this for my Son, he is a huge Star Wars fan! He is 9, turns 10 New Year’s Day! So he usually gets other people’s unwanted Xmas gifts! He asks fkd anything Star Wars year round! lol he has a Star Wars bedroom I’m working on! We have a Star Wars Kitchen & bathroom! Anything else would be awesome! He had the worst year, being hit by a drunk driver, broke his arm, his god mother was murdered, his anxiety his high some days, doesn’t want to be out much? Specially in the cold winter months as he already suffers with asthma & allergies! This would make his day! His Xmas & Birthday since it’s all in the same week lol! Would help me even more!   13. I saw most of these toys announced at Fan Expo this year of Force Friday and there was so much I wanted. However, personally if I had to pick one it would be the “Propel Star Wars TIE Fighter Advanced Battling Quadcopter Drone” if I had someone else to battle. Otherwise, it would be the “Sphero Star Wars BB-9E App-Enabled Droid (VD01FCA) – Black/Grey” because it looked, the controls are great and the enhancements from the first BB8 version have been great.

  14. I have been a huge fan of R2D2 since the first movie came out in 1977. I just love him so much. To actually have one would be the coolest thing ever, not to mention I would be the coolest mom ever.

    I almost bought this toy 2 years ago but didn’t because I thought someone was going to buy it for me for Christmas. I didn’t get it and now I have the Star Wars fever again. The Sphero BB-8 is so realistic. What a great Star Wars toy. Super authentic. I NEED ONE!!!

  18. The SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID is the one i would have to say is my favorite. I love that you can An u hear R2’s iconic beeps and boops right from the droid itself but you can tou around the inside of the milennium falcon! so unbelievably cool!

  19. My favourite is and always will be R2-D2 because he is the OG. He is classic. He is timeless. And he’s not annoying like C-3PO.

  26. I think the UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot is my favourite of the toys but, I think if you are a real Star Wars fan, any of the items is very cool to own. I like the Storm Trooper the best because it is just such an iconic character in the films and, they just opitimize the power of the empire.

  27. UBtech storm trooper. Have always loved stormtroopers and the thought of having a mini stormtrooper walking around the room sounds so amazing. I would even add the blue tints on the helmet and armour to make him look like a 501st trooper!

    Everyone in my family would enjoy this and all the other toys will go perfectly with my sons star wars themed room.

  29. Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges … my kids and I would lose it to have something like this! To face the Sith in one on one combat at any time?! C’mon … we needs this. Our Star Wars fantasies would definitely come true! I love them all but I see us using this one way too much.

  32. I saw the first star wars movie on it’s premier day in Victoria, BC in the 1970’s. To have an R2-D2 would be a childhood dream come to life!

  34. The Sphero R2D2 Droid is my favorite. The first time I saw Star Wars I wanted my own R2D2. He was and always will be the best droid.

  39. The r2d2 app droid. Ever since I was a kid I always wanted a r2d2 to call my own. AND NOW HERE IS MY CHANCE!. Who wouldn’t want a droid to call your own… to tuck you in at night. Read bedtime stories with and bring me drinks

  42. With zero doubt, the Propel Star Wars X-Wing Battling Quadcopter Drone tops my list. I have vivid memories of being an obsessed (5 – 6) year-old Stars Wars fan who wanted nothing more than that amazing Empire Strikes Back X-Wing Fighter for Christmas. The one with a super cool spot behind Luke Skywalker, that was designed for R2D2’s use only. Man, did I want that so much. I unfortunately didn’t receive one on Christmas morning, so winning one of these phenomenal Star Wars prize packages would be a dream come true…..for both myself and our EVERYTHING Star Wars loving 7 year-old son.

  47. My son met BB8 in Disney in Orlando and it was the first time I’ve ever seen him literally just star struck, was the cutest thing ever. I would LOVE the BB8 toy just to see if i can get that reaction again! And, a BB8 you can control with your phone? How fricken awesome is that!

    If there was a AT-AT (referred to as a stompy stomp in my house) that would be MY favorite, but for my son, its all about the BB8!

  48. The R2-D2 app enabled droid is my fav. I saw it reviewed and it’s got so many authentic cool little details and just generally looks like a blast to play with.

  49. VTECH STAR WARS STRMTROOPER SMRTWTCH cool that it can take pictures and videos with Star Wars-themed effects and trigger lightsaber, droid, and ship sound effects thanks to motion sensors. Time to start wearing a watch again.

  50. The Stormtrooper Robot looks so cool!!! I think my kids would go crazy if we won this. It’s definitely my favorite just for the wow factor. It’s a robot, it patrols!
