Many gamers I know either love their gaming chair or lament not having a really good one. Gaming is not an activity you can just get up from every half hour to stretch and reset. An online campaign can last for hours and leaving your seat may not only let your teammates down, but may lead to a huge setback in the game. Some gamers even forego bathroom breaks to secure a victory. You may not be that “hardcore” but you still deserve to game in maximum comfort; and, you would with an AKRacing Gaming chair like the one Best Buy is giving away in this contest.

Your chair matters for gaming

How much time you spend sitting in front of a screen can affect your overall health. AKRacing has years of experience creating seating for a variety of use case. Their gaming chairs are considered some of the best available. They have solid, durable metal frames and cold cure foam that holds fast and secure for a comfortable experience even after hours of first person shooter excitement. This is a premium gaming chair so you know that it will glide wherever you want it to go, in multiple positions, and adjust to suit your needs—all the while remaining silent so your gameplay is not spoiled by the squeaks and squeals often heard from lesser competitors.

Your chair matters for your health

I don’t have to tell gamers what can happen if they spend long hours in an uncomfortable chair. There are many forum discussion online of gamers complaining of back problems, digestive problems, even breathing problems brought on by making a poor seating choice. Most people don’t notice the problems at first; they develop gradually until you get to a point where you ache. Recovery can be slow too. However, you won’t recover if you continue to use the chair that caused the problem in the first place.

The best way to stay healthy is to make healthy choices before you start to ache. This contest is designed to raise awareness of one solution: AKRacing ergonomic chairs. One person will win one to start their journey to better gaming health. It isn’t the only thing gamers should do for better health. In fact, I want you to help gamers across Canada by suggesting ways that gamers can stay healthy. I offer one solution: get an AKRacing ergonomic chair. One way to enter this contest is for you to suggest other ways.

  2. Make sure to take regular breaks. Walk around and get some exercise. Drink some water and relax off computer.

  3. The best tips I can think of are drink lots of water, get up and move around at least every hour for a few minutes, and make sure your set up is designed for ergonomics.

  4. It’s important to get up every hour to walk around and to look out into the distance for healthy eye sight too.

  5. gamers need to get up and move and stretch. sitting in one place for too long is bad for you on many levels!

  6. Gamers who spend too long in front of the screen need to make time to stretch, make sure to keep well hydrated and give the eyes a rest and time to recharge

  7. I would suggest doing neck and arm exercises every 15 to 30 minutes. Taking a few minutes to stretch will improve your game and any stiffness. Frequent breaks and a walk outside will also help to stimulate your mind and to help clear your head.

  8. Gamers can stay healthy by going to a registered massage therapist to get any sore muscles stretched

  9. Exercise regularly to develop your core muscles and develop regular sleep paterns as well as eat a health diet. (avoid excessive snacks)

  10. Gamers who play games for hours on end can take a break every hour or so just to rest the eyes and stretch. Playing non-stop isn’t very good for you.

  11. Get up, drink some water and stretch those muscles. Maybe wash the face once in a while too.

  12. Hydrate, but don’t drink your calories. We all know what the stereotypical gamer diet is…

  13. Make sure you get up and pee regularly. It can be very distracting if you have a full bladder…lol.

  14. Taking breaks to move around, better yet take a walk outside will help both physically and mentally. At the very least play standing instead of sitting sometimes.

  15. Most important thing is to take breaks and get up and move during sessions, and to make time for activity too.

  16. The chair allows for my comfort while getting the body posture correct Great for a long period of time in one spot

  17. Get. Outside. Regularly! Not only is it good for your health, the time could be used to reflect on gaming practices to improve your game.
