Are you flying off and away from home for a spring or summer holiday? A good set of luggage, like Travelway’s 2-piece Jetstream Canada Collection can make your trip feel more organized (and fashionable). But why do we even need to go away on vacation? And what makes this luggage set worth having? Read on to find out and enter for a chance to win!
Take a break from home, go travel
Vacation is a wonderful way to get a change of scene from your usual surroundings and routine and bring some holiday magic back home with you. Even a long weekend trip away can inspire, rejuvenate, and make you more appreciative of your regular life. After all, it is said that vacations are a special experience only because they are finite and you know that all the familiarity of home is waiting for you. Having come back from vacation recently myself, this feels true. But, what do people with much more experience than I have to say about it?
“Once a year, go somewhere you have never been before.” —Dalai Lama
Well, if the spiritual head of the Buddhist faith says so, it’s probably a good idea to try. As a Canadian resident, there are many places in this country I haven’t been to that I’d like to see and experience—Yellowknife being chief among them for the northern lights. Think about all the places on your list you’ve never been. Where would you go before 2023 ends?
“A vacation is what you take when you can no longer take what you’ve been taking.” —Earl Wilson
If this nugget from the famous American journalist doesn’t quite fully make sense to you, you’re not alone. I take it to mean that vacations are a much needed break from dealing with the never-ending ups and downs of our lives. Most of the time, it’s the everyday rigors of life that wear us down and the remedy is to get away and lounge somewhere new, warm, and pleasant to reset.
“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colours.” —Terry Pratchett
The late author of the fantastic Discworld books knows a thing or two about what makes human life beautiful. So when life starts to feel dull and colourless, the solution, according to Sir Terry, is to go away and experience new places so you can come back with a fresh perspective and new appreciation for your life. Because even though your environment hasn’t changed, you have!
Take home with you on your travels
So we know why it’s necessary to leave home for a little while, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take a little bit of home with you to remind you where you belong and what makes coming back worth it. And we’re giving away just the thing! Whether your next trip is domestic or international, the Jetstream luggage set will represent your Canadian roots for you (and probably make a lot of people waiting at the carousel with you a little jealous). It sports a cool maple leaf crest on the front and cute maple leaves on the zippers. There’s even Canadian detailing on the telescoping handles and all over the inside lining of the suitcases! Check out Rae’s review of the set on our blog to get the inside scoop on what makes these pieces perfect to take with you, whether you’re journeying by car, bus, train, boat, or plane.
