I have always loved Bulova watches … ever since I was a child. My dad had one, so that might have been the initial attraction. It just looked so nice on his wrist! Last year, I finally bought one for myself (pictured here). Of course I bought it from Best Buy. I checked a local jewelry store before buying; they had the exact same watch that I saw online at Best Buy, but it was a lot more expensive.

At the time I bought it, I had been wearing a fancy new smart watch. It was okay, and the smart functions were fun. However, charging it every night became a nuisance for me. Forgetting to charge it meant I did not have a watch for a day. Once I got my Bulova, I found it more convenient, and more stylish. It’s my everyday watch now.

Your dad will never grow out of a Bulova watch

There are some traditional Father’s Day gifts that just don’t work with most men in 2019. Take the traditional tie as one example. I used to wear ties. I still have dozens in my closet somewhere. However, I haven’t worn one in a long, long time. Perhaps at a wedding a couple years ago. As with many traditional gifts, the Father’s Day tie is nice, but not very useful anymore. You can go with tradition and your dad will be grateful. Or think outside the box a little and select something he probably is not expecting, like a Bulova watch.
