Samsung Odyssey G9 Gaming monitorSamsungĀ sets the standard for great technology across many product categories, especially great display technologies. Samsung televisions and Samsung monitors are in a class by themselves for bringing brilliant digital experiences to our homes. And every year Samsung raises the bar with their new products. The latest example is their new line of Odyssey monitors. We just reviewed the largest and most impressive monitor you ever find, the Samsung Odyssey G9 on the Best Buy blog. Now we are giving away the blogger samples in this contest.

Surround yourself with Samsung’s ultimate gaming monitor

You want to be “in the moment” while gaming, fully immersed in the experience. For that, a curved gaming monitor is optimal. And the Samsung Odyssey G9 with its 49″ screen, and 1000R curvature, running 240Hz with a 1ms response time is pretty much as good as you can get. The 1000R curvature is optimal for human eyesight and very rare in a super large screen (most curved monitors have a more easily produced, less pronounced curve like 1500R or 1800R). The display also features Samsung’s new Quantum MiniLEDs for stunning visuals, and Full Array Local Dimming (FALD) to allow the bright display to selectively darken black areas of the screen for refined contrast. In addition, this monitor’s components for game synchronization, connectivity, etc are all top of the line. This monitor will put you in the driver seat like you’ve never experienced in your life.

We sent two of these monitors to writers Matthew Rondina and Christian Jarry for honest reviews. Read what the reviewers have to say and watch their videos to see just how impressive gaming can become when you have a monitor of this calibre.

Samsung monitors and televisions for all of your entertainment

The high quality of this Samsung display will come as no surprise to anyone with a Samsung television. There too, Samsung brings technological brilliance to meet all of your entertainment needsā€”including gaming entertainment. Many of their new televisions have high refresh rates, low response times, and settings like “Game Mode” to deliver stunning gaming on even their largest screens.

The choice of whether to buy a gaming TV or a gaming monitor just became more difficult with the arrival of the Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor. It’s size, curvature, and other features that have been discussed above make it an obvious choice for gamers wanting the most realistic and all-in immersive experience. You don’t have to choose one or the other if you happen to win this contest. However, read the details below carefully so you have the best chance to win.

  1. I like the curved screen because its cool and I think it would be easier to watch the screen while playing.

  2. Holy Moly 240 hz is insane, I’m currently running on a 60 hz monitor and 240 hz would be a huge step up in terms of gaming quality. Great feature.

  3. I am excited about the 49ā€³ screen and the 1ms response time. I need a big screen because my eyes are bad

  4. I am real excited about the 49ā€³ screen, the 1000R curvatureand the 1ms response time. This is the perfect gaming monitor!

  5. I love the 49 inch screen and coupled with the 1000R curvature, this monitor would be so clear and have amazing colours.

  6. The Mini LED Panel is the best for Much Better HDR. Love to win this on My Birthday April 21/22

  7. I’m excited about the tv because it’s 49ā€ size of the monitor and 1000R curvature
Thank You for this AMAZING opportunity! šŸ™‚

  8. WOW! What a screen. I love to win this long stretched screen. I can use half the screen to play games or music-making while the other half is for another screen for tutorials.

  9. Definitely the mini led panel. Much better hdr performance compared to the current ips grade panels.

  10. 49ā€ curved monitor with 240Hz refresh is amazing but what steals the show is the Quantum MiniLEDs. Allowing for darker blacks on an LED panel, especially of this size is a game changer.

  11. Definitely the mini led panel. Much better hdr performance compared to the current ips grade panels.

  12. That huge curve excites me the most. I could do anything on it. And the 240hz refresh rate could really speed things up for me.

  13. I think the biggest thing for me would be the Dual QHD design. I work with 3 monitors now and being able to multitask is very important. Would definitely love to have this in the setup vs my old tired monitors I have now.
