A Kobo ereader will likely have you reading a lot more. In fact, the newest ereader in their lineup, the Kobo Nia, with its slim, no frills approach, is all about what you are reading rather than what you are using to read. It’s light enough for anyone to hold for prolonged periods and small enough to fit into a pocket or a handbag. And it’s going to be a great prize for two people who read through my short article and enter this contest.

You won’t want to put down the Kobo Nia ereader

I love reading as much as I love writing. I have done plenty of both in my life. Of course, my job as Editor in Chief of the Best Buy Blog requires me to write a lot of articles—and read even more articles. However, I still make time for writing and reading as a pasttime; not as much as I would like to or as I did in the past, unfortunately. You see, I once had a Kobo; that was when I was writing and reading a lot. One of the first things I did after I finished writing my first novel was to upload it to my Kobo. I was so used to reading on the Kobo that I found it much easier to read and edit my own books on the Kobo too. I found it really helped my creative process.

The fact is, when you have a Kobo, you will likely get more interested in books. Partly, it’s the convenience; partly it’s the ease of picking it up and having thousands of books right there in your hands. I don’t read as much as I used to—as I said, my Kobo was stolen. It’s about time I go out and buy another one!

What will you read first on the Kobo Nia ereader

Do you have more than one book on the go at any one time? I always have more than one that I’m reading. The Kobo Nia is perfect for people like you and me since all your books can be in one place. The first book I’d put on an ereader is Kazuo Ishiguro’s “The Buried Giant.” I rarely get into fantasy type stories but I’m about 100 pages in and this one has me hooked. I would likely add a few of Ishiguro’s books now that I know I love his writing style.

Of course, you could add books to any Kobo: they have models that are waterproof, models with bigger screens … so choose the one that works for you. Ted recently reviewed the Kobo Nia and he pointed out many of the features found in the range of Kobo devices, but emphasized that the Nia is perfect for what you need it for: reading. Read his review, decide on an ereader, then load it up with books or get a subscription from Kobo and open your world to books, books, and more books.

The first book I’d download would be A Beautifully Foolish endeavor by Hank Green.

  2. All are great but I’d probably choose Kobo Clara because it’s the lightest at 166 g. My first book would be “Silent Bite” by David Rosenfelt.

  5. My favourite Kobo is the Clara HD. First book would probably be The Lord of the Rings series.

  6. I like the Kobo Nia 6″ digital reade because of its features, “a glare-free touchscreen display with E Ink technology so you can enjoy print-like clarity, even when you’re sitting in the sun. It boasts 8GB of memory so you can store up to 6,000 eBooks at once, and connects to the Kobo store and OverDrive so you’ll always have something to read.”

  7. I would love to have a Kobo Nia ereader. Any book is a good book. My favourite authors are Steven King, Edward Rutherfurd, John Grisham, and J. K. Rowling just to name a few. Add to that my favourite hobby of quilting and reading about quilts.

  8. I would choose the Kobo Libra H20 and I would read the new book about Trump by his Niece Mary Trump.

  9. If I could have a choice, I would choose the Libra H2O. Black or white doesn’t really matter. Otherwise the Nia is also good. With 8GB storage, it is at least better than my Aura 2 that only has a very limited 4GB storage.

  10. I used to read a lot and would love to get back into it. The Kobo Libra H20 would be my choice and I would begin with Michelle Obama’s Becoming.

  11. Anything James Patterson or to help with my college schooling would be amazing to read on a new Reader

  12. I really like the Kobo Libra H20 because of its large screen and easy-to-use page-turning buttons on the side. If I win the new Kobo Nia E-Reader, I would love to read Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernoff. Such a long book — perfect to read as an ebook!

  13. My overall favourite ereader is oddly enough the Aura Second edition, but the Libra H2O buttons. The first book I’d put on a new ereader is The Living Dead, New Novel by George Romano & Daniel Kraus

  14. I would like to choose Kobo Clara HD 6″ Digital eReader with Touchscreen and add The Handmaid’s Tale to read.

  15. Nia is perfect for what you need it for – my hour before sleep time in bed – much better than watcching TV

  16. I love the Kobo Libra H2O 7″ Digital eReader with Touchscreen. I would read Science of Success by Wattle!

  17. I have a Kobo Forma (my third Kobo), which is pretty impressive. Should I win a ‘Nia’, I would load “The Signal and the Noise” or “The Name of the Rose”.

  18. I select the Kobo Clara HD 6″ Digital eReader with Touchscreen and read Once Upon a Time in Shaolin by Cyrus Bozorgmehr as the first book.

  19. I would enjoy some classic horror books with the start of halloween coming soon I need to get in the right spooky mindset.
