Garmin dash cams are reliable and easy to use. You likely know how useful they are. Dash cams have gone from a “nice-to-have” to a “must-have” addition to your vehicle. Car owners, truck owners—even motorcycle owners—realize the value of capturing the many unexpected events that happen on the road on digital video. Garmin has a wide selection of dash cams, like the Garmin 47, 57, 67W, and mini all to be given away in this contest. Read on to learn two of my favourite features and for a chance to win one of these Garmin dash cams.

Garmin dash cams provide clear and detailed recordings

Drivers want a dash cam that reliably captures high-quality video and high-definition still recordings. There’s a lot of factors that can affect the quality of the footage: fast moving cars, varying light and weather conditions can make capturing good videos and images even more difficult. There is a lot of technology built into Garmin dash cams to ensure quality images are captured and stored, and can easily be shared afterwards.

When looking for a dash cam, look for ones with the right resolution that can give you quality footages. With the right resolution, dash cams can give you a clear and detailed picture of the road that captures important details, such as plate numbers. Garmin dash cams have the standard 1440p HD and 1080p HD resolutions that, combined with its Clarity HDR optics feature, ensure you get clear and detailed footages day and night.

Save videos instantly with Garmin online storage vault

The videos and still photos your dash cam takes help provide a clear picture of incidents that happen on the road, so having a place online to save all of them just makes sense. Most people want a dash cam so they can show recordings of road incidents as proof, whether for insurance or police purposes, and your dash cam should make them readily available for you when you need them.

With Garmin dash cams you can quickly and easily upload, manage, and share videos online using its online storage vault. When your dash cam detects an incident or if you choose to save a video, it will automatically upload and store your files to the online storage vault for 24 hours. If you want to store your videos for a longer period of time, each Garmin dash cam comes with its own subscription plan.

Through the online storage vault, you can access your videos using your Garmin app, where you can view, trim, and export your videos to save on your phone. What I also like about this feature is that you can easily share your video with anyone simply by providing them a link to that video.

  5. I like the ability to upload to the online storage vault! I don’t currently have a dash cam but I’ve been thinking a lot about getting one lately, just to have the piece of mind in knowing that if anything happens I have more than just my word to go on. Very cool looking dash cams!!

  8. I always wanted a good dashcam, GARMIN is the best quality one can have. It would be re assuring to know every thing on my many trips will be recorded. I have seen many animals and accidents on my road trips with this camera I would be able to share what I experience.

  9. Wow, what a great idea! I do a lot of driving in Canadas north and rural areas and see so many animals. The effort of stopping and taking a photo with my phone camera usually results in less than great photos. A dash cam would be perfect for me!!

  10. With the high cost of insurance and vehicle repairs today, the clear high quality video & still photos from the Garmin unit, of what has happened in the event of an accident has become an absolute must have support tool.

  11. High definition is important as well as having a smaller camera which can’t easily be detected. All you need is for someone to break into your car just to get the dashcam.
I love the ability to see the feed on my phone instead of on the device itself. It can be so distracting and I never understood why you need to see where you are going while are are going!

  12. Easy to upload, small and inconspicuous so they don’t take much room in your windshield and don’t obstruct he view. If in an accident have/provide detailed footage – visible and clear footage would be very beneficial. Memory of a great trip and scenery.

  13. The Garmin online storage vault is an awesome idea and would be great for me as I love taking photos and have a hard time clearing up more storage space by deleting photos 🙂

  14. I like that they are small and inconspicuous so they don’t take much room in your windshield and don’t obstruck the view.

  15. The most valuable feature for me is the clarity of the footage. There have been so many times that I have almost gotten into accidents, and a dash cam with such visible and clear footage would be very beneficial to prove that I was not at fault.

  16. When your dash cam detects an incident or if you choose to save a video, it will automatically upload and store your files to the online storage vault for 24 hours – Great protection

  17. It would be important to have detailed videos of a driving incident and then have it stored in storage vault to review.

  18. The Garmin 67W would be great product to win because it can be activated when the car is parked. We had someone back into the front of our car when it was parked and we were lucky there was a witness to the hit and run who was able to record the license plate number of the vehicle that was in collision with our car.

  19. Love the fact that they provide detailed footage which would be definitely helpful in the event of a road incident.

  20. I think it would be fun to have and interesting to see videos of animals that cross the highway as well. Great idea to have in case of an accident
