Get inspired to create amazing food with a new Breville appliance

Canadians have been rediscovering their kitchen lately. This has been more challenging for some people. Even for me, someone who absolutely loves cooking and creating and experimenting with food, there are days when I don’t feel it.

A new appliance always helps, but one of the new Breville microwaves would totally solve that problem. We recently had two of their newest models reviewed. You should read the reviews of those machines: you’ll be astounded by the variety for foods you can make.

We’ve all used microwave ovens and I think my experience on my 5 year old machine is probably quite typical. You put something in, turn it on, the timer rings, you take it out, stir, put it back in and repeat, until it finally it’s so hot you burn your mouth (and somehow there is still that one section that is ice cold!).

For each entry, tell us one food item or recipe that you would make in one of these Breville ovens if you win. You must specify which oven you are referring to in your comment. For example, a valid entry might be: if I win the Breville 3 in 1 oven I will make a decadent chocolate cake.

Also each entry must be unique: if you enter here and on one of the review article, you must specify a different food item.

If I won the Brevilke smooth-wave microwave, I’d make the beef pasta dinner that I’ve been making for 20 years that’s out of the milk microwave cookbook as it’s geared for cooking in the microwave and turns out so tasty. The microwave I recently had went on the blink so haven’t been able to have this in a while.

  38. I have never owned a microwave and lament it every time I have to melt butter or chocolate for baking. I’d love to make pita chips using the air-fry function. I would also heat up a Magic Bag every night and not have to wrangle an awkward hot water bottle on my neck.
