Hisense helps you feel the joy of the game. Watching sports at home on a Hisense TV or projector will do a great job of approximating the intensity and emotion of the stadium experience. They bridge that gap between stadium-watched vs. home-watched sports events with remarkable cutting edge technology like the new QLED Mini-LED screens. Enter this contest and you might be one of the two winners of a new Hisense 55″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Mini-LED Smart Google TV. In addition, you might win the ultimate sport experience: a trip for two to Indianapolis for the ultimate in fun, enjoyable sporting events, the 2024 All-Star game.

Hisense TVs are built for storytelling

Few of us get to experience our favourite sporting events at the stadium. Oh, you might get to attend a handful of games in a season, but mostly, we watch them on television. On a great TV, like the newest models from Hisense, we can do more than just watch sports—we can experience them. Hisense is one of the first TV brands to incorporate amazing Mini-LED technology for brighter colours and deeper blacks than previously possible. Quantum Dot displays have been around long enough to prove how great they are for displaying amazing colours. However, with Mini-LEDs the TV is capable of more selective control of the brightness.

We recently published Shelly’s review of the Hisense QLED Mini-Led TV (part of the prize for this contest), and she discusses the brilliant display, the intuitive operating system, and many other features. From that review you can tell that it is great for anything you watch, including sports. The action in games like basketball is fast and intense, and the players, coaches, and even the fans in the crowd are living their dreams each and every game. On a great TV, like the one we are giving away in this contest, you can see it on their faces; you can feel their intensity, feel their passion, and feel their pain.

The NBA, like all sports, is more than a collection of games to be won and lost. They are a collection of amazing stories. Each game is a chapter in each player’s journey, and contributes to each team’s legacy. These amazing stories become part of our lives. We fans continue to tell these amazing stories over and over. From the rumours about draft picks to the final bell of the championship game, these stories captivate us, motivate us, and very often inspire us. And the best players, like those you will see at the All-Star game, continue to inspire us long after they stop playing.

NBA All-Star game is a celebration of the joy of sports

You might have guessed from the first section of this article that I am a sports fan. I attend games in person when I can, but love watching sports at home too. And I have tons of joyful sports related memories: from a fun Kamloops trip while playing basketball in high-school … to welcoming the NBA in Vancouver. These joyful sporting moments are a part of me—part of my personal story.

I would love to attend an All-star Game for many reasons. First of all, travelling to and experiencing the host city during All-Star weekend would be magical. One of my favourite sports memories was attending the first regular season game of the Vancouver Grizzlies in Vancouver in the mid 1990s. I watched every other televised Grizzlies game that I could … and loved it despite having a small, terrible TV. The crazy thing about the 2024 All-Star game is that I might actually get to see some of my favourite players from back then. Obviously, I would get to witness the amazing talents of the best of the best currently playing. But I would also get to see some of the best from the past. If I could win this contest (and I can’t since I’ll be selecting the winner!) and get to travel to Indianapolis for the All-Star game, I would hope to get to see the greatest Pacer ever, Reggie Miller. Now that would be a very joyful sports story.

Think about the importance of sports in your life then enter for your chance to win this incredible prize from Hisense and Best Buy.

  4. Iginla to Crosby for the Gold and the place went wild. And by “place” I mean Canada. Something I’m unlikely to experience again.

Seeing Lebron at the All-Star Game is something nobody might have a have to see again after this season.

  5. Joyful memory was taking my teenager to his first ever game in Edmonton a few years ago. He was over the moon! It was pre-season but definitely worth it.

    Stephen Curry!

  6. One of my favourite sports-related joyful memories was watching “the shot” by Kawhi Leonard in the Raptors’ 2019 championship-winning run. It was such a thrilling and historical moment that had my friends and I jumping and screaming with joy!! If I were lucky enough to go to the NBA All-Star festivities in Indianapolis, I think the player I’d most hope to see is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He’s an incredible player and just so cool!

  7. Watching MJ play has always been great memories I would to be there at the All-Star Game and would love for MJ to judge the slam dunk contest!

  8. By chance being at a hockey game when the Flames defeated the Canadiens in six games to win their first and only Stanley Cup. The winning goal in game six was scored by Doug Gilmour.

  12. Watching the Raps back in ’96 with Popeye Jones stays with me today and I like how Renaud states that we become part of the sport “experience” with a Hisense LEDU7 tv… which is what all fans want.

  13. One of my favorite sports memories, and strangley parallel to the blog editor, was my only visit to the Vancover Grizzlies. It was a gift from my employer and the only live professional basketball game I’d been to. While Vancouver lost that game (which unfortunately wasn’t rare, and I don’t even remember who they played), I do remember enjoying a surprisingly full and entertaining show with my fiance and her seeing Tyra Banks at Court side. In fact, we enjoyed the performances, the Grizz mascot antics, giveaways and crowd even more than the game. If we’re ever in their newer home of Memphis, we might look them up for a show – and maybe even catch some basketball while we’re there.

  14. My favourite memory is being on a school
Camping trip and not having wifi to watch the Raptors win the championship. We were sitting around the fire wondering what the results would be- The excitement and high fives and screaming when the phone call came through will never be forgotten! I would love to see Jamal Murray at the 2024 All-Star Game!!

  15. Watching Kawhi Leonard’s buzzer-beater to send us through to the next round! I’d love to see Lebron at the All-Star Game!

  16. One of my favorite sports memories i
was meeting Wayne Gretzky in person. If I win the trip to the All-Star Game I would hope to meet Tristan Thompson.

  17. Best sports memory was when I was able to take my niece to her very first NBA game here in my home town where we got to watch the Raptors play ball. Such a fantastic memory one I’ll treasure.

  18. Best sports memory was watching Joe Carter hit a ninth-inning home run in the SkyDome to win the World Series for the Toronto Blue Jays with my Dad. I would love to see Shaquille O’Neal at the All-Star Game.

  19. Favourite memory was seeing the Celtics and Warriors in the finals in 2022. Would like to see Lebron James at the game.

  20. Favourite sports memory was seeing Ichiro Suzuki play in his rookie year in Seattle. The player I would like to see at the all star game is Lebron James.

  21. Still remember first time to watch the game live with my boys, they were so excited ! We love to see Michael JOrdan !

  22. Basketball is an amazing sport and I have been watching old and current seasons for the past two years and fell in love with the sport after being huge soccer fan. My memorable moment was when Golden State Warriors lifted the trophy in 2022 and also saw Raptors win in 2019 before I fully started watching. I would love to see Steph Curry or Lebron James at the all star game. On this article I learned that the Hisense U7 is one of the cheapest Mini Led models which can do gaming and offer more quality for a better price than competition making the TV worth a lot.

  23. One of my fav sports memories is Kawhi’s shot. Me and my friends recorded our reaction to this shot and got featured in an ESPN commercial. I would like to see Haliburton.

  24. Growing up in the Philippines, basketball is very popular because it was a cheap game and we love watching any of local or foreign teams. The NBA is the most watched game on TV and we would all gather around watching teams we cheer on and it would be fun watching the competition among fans. Having a picture with an NBA star would just be awesome and be a proud moment.

  25. taking my son to the grey cup one year lots of great memories for both of us I would love to see Stephen Curry at the all star game
