Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology

I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.

I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.

Do your research and plan for your next TV

Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.

  1. I’ve always been a Sony fan and the Triluminos Display with the X1 Processor looks amazing. I love watching long epic movies and the thought of having the picture look like it’s going to pop out of the screen sounds thrilling. Who needs to go to the theatre when you have one of these gorgeous sets.

One of my current TVs is a Sony and it’s exceptional even though it’s a few years old and a lot smaller than I’d like — a bigger, crisper one would be awesome to replace it, as it’s the one I use for video games and exercise videos!     I am a gamer at heart, so I am excited for LG’s NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility for it’s TVs. This will mean my gaming experiences will be further enhanced with less lag, variable refresh rates, and smooth and responsive gameplay at all times. My favourite model from LG is the LG 65″ 4K UHD HDR OLED webOS Smart TV (OLED65CXPUA) as it is compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync for faster refresh rates and smoother gameplay. Despite not featuring 8K technology, its fully loaded features will help me to further immerse myself into my daily gaming experiences.

    Personally, I thought 4K high resolution was mesmerizing enough visually. However Samsung has me excited by having 8K resolution display (meaning 4 times the resolution of 4K). This is a feast for your eyes. The Samsung 65″ 8K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN65Q800TAFXZC) – Titan Black is my favourite model available on the Best Buy website as it features the 8K resolution that I would like to experience and the QLED technology brings colour volume to the image quality.

    I am an audiophile so I am excited to experience the Acoustic Surface Audio, where the sound experience will actually appear to be coming from what is seen on the screen. Currently, my favourite model is the Sony BRAVIA 65″ 4K UHD HDR OLED Android Smart TV (XBR65A8H) because it has this feature, amongst it’s other traits including BRAVIA UHD OLED and 4K resolution.
