Not all TVs are created equal. If you’re looking for a new television, one of the first things you will need to consider is the display type you would like to get. Some things that might be helpful to keep in mind as you’re looking at your options are: where you will place the television, what type of content you will watch, and how big you would like the display to be. Should you get an 8K television? 

Another key consideration when shopping for a new television is resolution. Resolution refers to the number of pixels that make up the image. In recent years, 4K TVs have become increasingly popular but the next generation of TVs is already here. 8K TVs such as the Samsung Neo QLED TV we are giving away in this contest boast a resolution of 7680 x 4320 and use four times as many pixels as 4K TVs. On-screen, those numbers translate to even sharper and more detailed images.

However, there’s a but … for now, at least. While 8K TVs are available, most content on streaming platforms is currently either 1080p or 4K, which means that you won’t be able to watch 8K content on your 8K screen. Is it worth getting an 8K TV then? Maybe! An 8K display comes with benefits that may make the scales tip in its favour. For one, 8K TVs can upscale the content you watch to make it as close to 8K as possible so you can enjoy the best image quality possible. For up to two (2) additional entries, create a public post on a social media channel (one entry per channel!) sharing with your friends and followers that you are entering a Best Buy blog contest for a chance to win a Samsung Neo QLED 65″ 8K TV; include the hashtag #BestBuySamsungContest, so we can find your post, and include one of the pictures showing on this article. Then return here and tell us in a comment below on which channel you posted it and the name of your channel (since many people use pseudonyms) so that we can check and verify your entry. You can use any social media channel (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.), but the post must be public so we can verify it is there.

    2. As for the "8K" tv comment: Well, definitely the "8K UPSCALING" is awesome! I know I don't have and may never have much in terms of TRUE 8K content, etc…..but knowing the TV has such an amazing picture quality, and will UPGRADE content to improve quality is amazing. So definitely that is, to me, one of the best features 😉
