Tune out and tune in with Jabra Elite 85h headphones

The face of someone enjoying a Britney Spears cover through Jabra Elite 85h headphones

I work in a busy office with a lot of people. As much as I love the high-energy environment, there are times when I need to filter out the ambient noise so I can focus on my work.

But up until recently I had a very basic pair of on-ear headphones. They were wired, used a battery for noise-cancelling, and their ear cushions caused sore ears after an hour or two. And though noise-cancelling makes me productive in terms of output, it also tends to make me a little unaware of my surroundings.

Right now is one of those focus times, actually; I’m sitting at my desk listening to a rather good cover of “…Baby One More Time” while wearing my new Jabra Elite 85h headphones (see right).  And let me tell you, these things are great.

Jabra Elite 85h: headphones packed with features

I’m finding that my headphone problems have ceased with the Jabra Elite 95h headphones. Active Noise Cancelling does just what you’d imagine, but they are also equipped with HearThrough technology which dulls background noise to a level that leaves you adequately aware of your surroundings. I can also let the headphones do the work with SmartSound which detects my surroundings and ambient noise levels. This means people can get my attention without tapping my shoulder or awkwardly waving their hand in my face.

The other thing I’m loving is the on-ear detection. I hate missing parts of songs and  because these headphones detect when they’re on and off your ears, I don’t have to fumble to pause my music when a coworker comes by. And if I wear them out of the office, they are rain-resistant, so they are totally commute friendly.

But don’t take it from me, see what Jacob McCourt had to say in his review. He discusses the style, controls, and sound of these headphones in depth.

ANC Headphones you want and need

Ok, so now you want a pair of your own Jabra Elite 85h headphones, don’t you? I can’t say I blame you; they are high quality headphones with a lot of cool features, and their noise-cancelling options are a game-changer for anyone that likes to use their headphones in a variety of environments.
