Polk audio speakers will fill your home with amazing sound. How amazing? We sent these out for an independent, honest review—and those reviews were very positive—but the best way to find out how good a speaker sounds to you, is to bring it into your home and try it out. After all, we each have our own expectations for how music should sound in our home. Enter this contest for a chance to find out how well Polk speakers meet your expectations. You might soon be listening to your favourite holiday music, and non-holiday music, on brand-new Polk speakers!

What do you look for in new speakers

Great sound! That should be the number one reason to get a new speaker. However, in recent years, people have been compromising on the quality of the speakers to gain functionality. Most recently, for instance, the hottest speakers have come from Google and Amazon; they have small speakers that deliver “okay” sound. Their main feature, though, is the included voice assistant. I think they are really cool (since last year I have purchased seven of them and given most of them away as gifts—and kept 3 for myself!).

Polk Audio speakers, on the other hand, offer great sound. You aren’t compromising on sound quality with Polk. Of course, Polk is evolving to keep up with the needs of current consumers: consumers like me and many others with a love for smart speakers.

Google assist and Polk in one compact package

As I said at the beginning of this article, we sent out some Polk audio speakers for honest reviews. Those reviews were very positive. For example, Erin reviewed the Polk MagniFi Mini and thought the quality was “outstanding.” Here is her video review:

Blogger Darren Blakeborough reviewed the Polk Assist speaker and loved the versatility: it comes with Google Assistant built-in! Darren loved that it delivered awesome audio quality and had the incredible smart functionality of Google’s voice assistant in one package. You can tell it to control your smart home products, ask it questions, and, of course, tell it to play your favourite music. Here is Darren’s video review:

In fact, if you have a Polk Assist, you can even control the sound from the Polk Magnify that Erin reviewed! If I had this I’d put the Polk Assist in the dining room, and the Polk Magnify Mini with my television, so that I could have multi-room audio, all controlled with either my voice or my phone. The two grand prize winners of this contest will each be able to do that in their home. There are also 2 secondary prizes of a Polk Assist speaker!

  1. I am liking the idea of voice command. It makes things easier and gives me more motivation to actually play music

  2. One of the few things I don’t cut corners on…speakers. Quality build, a good set should last longer than some marriages.

  3. voice control. the volume could either go up or down just by hearing my voice. hands are busy doing laundry, or bringing in the groceries no need to fret just activate it with my voice. easy as 1-2-3

  4. Great audio – what good is voice command if I don’t like the sound of what I’m listening to?

  5. I am looking for great audio and clarity! I love listening to music and it is important to me that the sound quality be as clear and high quality as possible. These speakers look amazing. Merry Christmas!

  6. I am always looking for excellent audio quality to listen to the best music! I love listening to music, especially when it sounds like perfection coming out of a speaker.

  7. Looking to have our music playing in all areas of our home. Music drives us! A good sounding speaker allows us to escape the daily grind.

  8. I’ve always loved good sound. And even though I have some really interesting smart speakers in this house, the one thing that I miss is good sound. I have light bulbs that are speakers. I have portable speakers, I have Alexa built into my thermostat & it can play music. All of them can provide me with music, but none of them provide me with rich sound. And I really miss that.

I’d love to have a smart speaker that also provides me it with decent sound. In the good old days when we actually bought stereos, I would always bring a CD with me so that I could hear each stereo with the same piece of music. And then I would make my choice based on the sound profile that I liked.

One of the things that I find is lacking with most of the smart speakers is a deep rich bass. They tend to be very treble heavy and they are missing that rich middle sound as well.

I’d love a chance to try the Polk audio speakers. Polk has always made incredibly great speakers, and I can’t imagine that they would create a smart speaker that didn’t have good sound.

  9. I want both audio and voice clarity and resilience in a speaker because I don’t like muffled or insufficient clarity and resilience to diminish a full and clear audio experience.

  10. The most important feature is great sound. You want to hear your music as it was intended to be heard!
