The Circle 2 from Logitech is a simple-to-use smart security camera that makes it easy to monitor your home, so you can not only control everything in your home from your phone, you can see it all in action, too. There are lots of smart security cameras on the market these days, so read on to find out what makes the Logitech Circle 2 stand out from the crowd and learn how to enter for your chance to win a Logitech Circle 2 Combo Pack.
Security cameras are for more than just watching the front door
Security cameras used to be complicated, detailed, and laborious to install, with VCRs (remember those?), timers, sensors, and more. All of that has gotten much simpler with the rise of smart home devices and technologies, so that pretty much all you have to do these days is buy a smart security camera, set it up, turn it on, and you’re good to go.
Not that you can’t still find traditional security cameras—you definitely can, and they too have gotten much easier to use in recent years. But smart security cameras offer the kind of whole-home integration that we’ve come to expect with the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT).
There are some obvious use cases for security cameras; For example, to monitor your front and back door, or to make sure that the kids are playing safely while you’re upstairs working. And these are all examples many people think of when they hear security camera. But the smart home introduces many new variables to think about.
For instance, what if you’re out of town and have programmed your smart lights to turn off and on at random times to make it look like someone is home? How can you be sure they’re doing that?
Well, with a smart security camera like the Logitech Circle 2, you can not only program your smart lights from your phone, you can also make sure they’re lighting up when they’re supposed to by looking at the feed from your Logitech Circle 2 (all on the same smartphone or tablet).
Or, what if you want to check in and see if the tomatoes growing in your smart garden are ripe, but you’re at work? Well, just log in to your phone and take a quick peek with your Logitech Circle 2.
As is probably evident from these examples, security cameras can do a lot more for you than the standard uses people tend to think of. The Logitech Circle 2 has some unique features that make it a great addition to your smart home setup, so read on to find out what those are.
The Logitech Circle 2 makes home security a snap
Installing the Logitech Circle 2 is a breeze: Plug it in, sync it up with the smartphone app, and you’re ready to start monitoring. It even works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit to mesh seamlessly with your existing smart home environment.
Once you get it installed, the Circle 2 can utilize its 180° lens, large field of view, and 1080p Full HD resolution to stream crisp, clear images of whatever area you’ve set it up in right to your phone or tablet. Plus, its built-in night vision means no need to deal with extra lighting installations. You also get unlimited capacity for users and additional cameras as part of your Circle account, plus free 24 -hour secure cloud storage for any footage that’s captured. All of that adds up to a great deal and a security system that can record anything thrown at it.
Furthermore, the Circle 2 has a microphone and speaker built-in, so you can talk to delivery people at the front door when you’re at work, to the kids when they’re home from school, and even the dog when you’re not there. You can get these notifications delivered to your phone or tablet whenever something occurs, even when you’re not home.
If you opt to purchase the Circle Safe Premium account, lots of advanced features are available to you. You get Motion Zones that can trigger alerts if the camera detects any movement within a certain area. The Circle 2 can also detect people and send you a notification when it sees a person in a Motion Zone. Plus, Advanced Motion Filtering technology means it’s easier to spot relevant activity and disregard things like stray cats or squirrels without having to hunt through hours of back footage to find what you’re looking for.

backyard and shop
Back yard and side yard.
Id totally put one on my front door watching the walkway, and the other I’d put on my back window overlooking my backyard.
Front yard and backyard. There is a plant thief in the area and I’m tired of losing my plants.
Front and back door
The front door entrance and apiary.
The front and back doors
Front door and patio door
The front door entrance and our basement walkout sliding door.
The front and back doors and maybe the garage.
Watch your tomatoes in your smart garden?! Whaaat? How cool is that? PBS Nova/Nature – the home version! Thanks Best Buy, I got distracted down that rabbit hole forever. 🙂
My two places would be at back upper NE corner of the house and the front SE corner, at least for starters. The back would be a “permanent” placement I think but the front placement might find its way inside… maybe to watch the indoor smart garden. hahaha
Feeling that extra bit of “safe” in a neighbourhood that has experienced a surprising decline in security would be pure bliss. Sleep is a beautiful thing.
Front door and back door
I would place one on the back shed where we keep tools and such as well as front door
I would put one at the back door and living room
I would definitley want to have my front door covered and my backyard. There is a huge increase in theft and break-ins in our city and cameras are a huge help.
I would want the front and back entry door to be monitored.
front porch and back patio
I’d have one set up to face the driveway. I’ve had my car broken into twice sense I been leaving at my current location. Then I’d have another facing the back porch just in case. Thank you best buy for this wonderful opportunity! I couldn’t thank you enough if I were to actually win these wonderful security cameras!
Front and back porch
Front door and patio door
We are beside a walking path and back into a park in the past had issues in back so like one at end of property there for any mischief and one in front viewing cars and entrance
I would ideally monitor the front and rear of my home.
I would watch over my reef tank, way too much money invested in that. I would also do my kitchen toward my 2 entrances as both could be seen from one camera.
I would monitor my front and back doors
I would like it installed at the entrance from entry door and the driveway can be seen so we know whos coming in then one at the backyard entrance as the backyard is wide open because its a big park that newly upgraded with walkway so it always become too busy with dog walkers, kid running and teen agers staying out late, this is such a great help to us. Great birthday gift too as I wll be celebrating my birthday next Sunday and I always would love to have a camera installed at home.
I would put the cameras on the front and back windows of my home.
Side door and back yard
I would like one near my Front door and one near to the Garage door
I would like to keep an eye on both my front yard and by backyard. Although a live in a pretty good neighborhood, my city is becoming the ghetto. With strange things happening in our area, every little noise makes me nervous. Having a security camera would definitely put my mind at ease and make me feel a lot safer.
I would want them to cover both of our driveways
These Logitech security devices would be very useful at my front door overlooking the garage and a second one in the middle of the back of the house to oversee the backyard
Front Door and back sliding door
Front porch/entrance and side yard near shed
Front door and back yard.
I would put one camera at the front door and the other in the back near the patio and deck.
On the front of my house and parking area
Front door outside the house….back yard corner
I would love to have a camera by the front door and on the patio 🙂
I would put one watching my front door and the other facing my TV so that I could tune in while I’m at work 😉
Front door and back door
Front Door and Back Door
I would like a camera at the front door, and one into the backyard.
I would like a camera in my living area, and also at the front door, outside of the house! 🙂
I would absolutely have one on the inside of my window next to my main entrance indoors to capture my driveway. The second would be outside the basement door pointing into the backyard.
I would like to have a camera at the two entrances to my home
front door and back door
Front and rear porch coverage would be the most practical for our needs. We live in the mountains, but work in Boulder. This would be useful.
I’d install in at the front door and on the back of the house overlooking the backyard.
The Logitech cameras would provide me ease of mind: In my backyard facing the gate entry & in the Living Room facing the front door entryway!
I would want one on the front entry door and one on the back entry door.
