“The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the most wonderful time of year for tech enthusiasts! In 2016, it was another gadget-filled extravaganza that showcased and shaped the future of the industry. Best Buy Canada’s bloggers, Erin Lawrence and Ted Kritsonis, were down in Las Vegas on the 1.5 million square foot show floor bringing the annual event right to you HERE on the Plug-in blog, sharing the highlights!
If you’re unfamiliar with CES, think of it as a high-energy, week-long product showcase in a trade show format starring the world’s biggest manufacturers, plus rising star companies who use this popular stage to launch new products, or show what’s to release in the near future. In 1970, the VCR was born out of CES. Fast forward to the 1990s, and technologies we still see around today were released at CES, including HDTVs, Xbox and smart TVs.
What innovative technologies did we see at this year’s CES show? Read on! We’ve compiled our favourite stories for you from the world’s largest electronics show.
