Have you ever driven a Lamborghini? If not, no worries—neither have I. But today we ride in style with the extremely cool Lamborghini Branded Authentic 8.5″ All-Terrain Hoverboard. I recently got the chance to test this board and see what it was all about, and I must say, I certainly wasn’t disappointed! Join me below as I go through all of the key features and specs—as well as detailing my own riding experience—with the amazing Lamborghini Hoverboard. Read on!
Lamborghini Hoverboard features and specs
The Lamborghini All-Terrain Hoverboard has a number of key features and benefits for us to consider, but first and foremost is the fact that this board is designed and manufactured by Lamborghini itself, making it a truly authentic Lamborghini model. Its Lamborghini heritage may also be seen in the details of its design, such as the hexagonal cell motif on the foot boards and the classic shape of both its front and rear lights.
Among its major features are dual 400 Watt independent motors driving its wheels (and thus providing riders with a top cruising speed of 15 Km/h), 8.5″ all-terrain tires with aluminum rims featuring the authentic Lamborghini logo (it also has metal fenders), a built-in Bluetooth speaker (for listening to music as you cruise about), and a number of other functions (such as lights that can change colours, the ability to check your battery’s status, and—perhaps most exciting of all, authentic Lamborghini sounds).
These sounds are just like what you’d experience when driving a real Lamborghini car, so they add a unique element of fun to the board that no other hoverboard I’ve ever tested has. If you want the true Lamborghini experience, this board will certainly give you the hoverboard version of that. And if you don’t want to have the sound effects on, you can simply turn them off (there’s a special app you can download and use for these kinds of controls).
The Lamborghini Hoverboard also offers three distinct riding modes: beginner, intermediate, and advanced (allowing users of every skill level to get out and enjoy the ride). This is not always the case with hoverboards, but it is welcomed and appreciated. And of course, the board is self-balancing (my favourite feature of all!), meaning that once you step on and get going, riding is not much harder than simply standing up.
Finally, the Lamborghini hoverboard has a maximum load capacity of 120 Kg (approximately 265lb. meaning that most people can safely ride this board without doing it any harm). Riders should also not be too light, which is probably why the minimum recommended age for users is six years old (note that the weight of each individual rider will almost certainly affect the speed performance of the board). The board itself is also not light, weighing in at a robust 15Kg (or about 33 pounds), so it’s not exactly something you’ll enjoy carrying around, though it certainly does feel like a sturdy and high quality product.
Note: This board is also both UL2272 tested and certified—an important safety standard pertaining to electric mobile devices such as hoverboards and scooters.
Riding in style while testing the Lamborghini Hoverboard
Testing this board was every bit as much fun as you might expect it to be. Fully charging the battery can take three to four hours to complete, but once you’ve got it charged, you’ll be able to get a good amount of riding time out of it (though I wasn’t able to pinpoint this exactly).
When I first took the board out for a ride, I went to the back lane behind my home to give it a quick balance test. This quick test went fine, but the next day I got to use it in a wide open (and practically empty) parking lot just down the street. This is where most of the real testing took place. The lot had only just been paved earlier this year, so riding the board was absolutely as smooth as silk.
This was in no small part thanks to the very smooth tread on the Lamborghini Hoverboard’s tires, which was one of the biggest differences I found with this board compared to others I’ve tried in the past: the unique tread pattern of its tires. I don’t know if this is meant to be a racing tread or not, but that’s certainly the impression it gave me. I found it made the board smooth, fast, and a pleasure to ride.
As for the all-terrain claims of this board, well, they mostly do hold true—at least in terms of how rugged and sturdy it is (for instance, the board’s aluminum rims and metal fenders). Still, with the smooth tread on those tires, you’ll be in for a bit of a bumpy ride if you attempt to go off road. What this board really likes is super smooth surfaces where it can show off its speed and agility (or, your agility, as the case may be).
All up, I really had a blast cruising around on the Lamborghini Hoverboard. It was fast without being scary, and I especially enjoyed the authentic Lamborghini sound effects. Whether I was going forward, backwards, or spinning around in circles, this particular Lamborghini was easy to control and never once tried to buck me (always a nice benefit of any hoverboard I test!). The only real downside to this cool little Lamborghini was that I couldn’t make it do a super slick burn out on the freshly paved parking lot.

Final thoughts
As hoverboards go, this slick Lamborghini model is about as good as it gets. I really can’t find anything to complain about with this thing, unless of course you intend to sometimes carry it around. At just over 30 pounds of solid rubber and metal, this board is certainly no lightweight.
