How does adding a monitor change how your work and play

What would you do with more screen real estate? My wife and I were discussing this yesterday as I was making notes for this article. As a teacher tasked with doing online instruction for the first time in her life, she had no trouble seeing the benefits of three monitors. She’d put Zoom on one, for her video interaction during her classes, put her Google Forms assignments and quizzes on another screen, and use the 3rd screen for Microsoft Teams or email depending on which class she had at the time. Rather than flipping from one application to another on the single screen she currently uses, she would have them all right in front making her work so much easier.

I actually sent this contest prize to reviewer Dave Neufeld to test (that’s his photo at the top of this article!). Dave correctly points out that we are chronic multi-taskers (as my wife’s situation above supports) and having extra real estate helps a lot!   10. To be able to do schoolwork and take notes using multiple monitors would be amazing. I’d have my online courses on one monitor with my notes and snippets on the other.

  33. What an amazing set-up and prize. I would gift these to my son who is off to University in the Fall. He is an avid gamer, programmer, and multi-tasker and will be studying Physics so he would definitley make use of this prize.

  37. I currently have two monitors plus my laptop screen, but it’s not enough. I do development which requires the actual developing, the output and console/errors/logs (etc), or work with Photoshop, watch social media and do additional things. I occasionally play games, but that’s not often.

    This monitor setup would be so very welcome

  47. I WOULD FRIKEN LOVE THIS. I have wanted to start twitch streaming for many months now. since being in quarantine ive decided to get one new piece of equipment per paycheck to go towards my twitch steaming dreams (this set up being the most expensive and most put off..). I used to work at EA (electronic arts) and had 3 or 4 monitors at one time. One went towards coding, another towards UFC research (as I was on the UFC team), one towards youtube or any other funny video streaming site and either another screen or TV dedicated to the actual game. it truly was multitasking at its finest. I would be doing the same with this new set up (which is beyond beautiful). I would most likely dedicate one screen to my twitch feed (comments and such), one for the actual game its self (maybe two if im feeling optimistic) and the other for continuing my coding knowledge. such a cool contest, thank you BEST BUY!
