Splatoon is a colourful third-person action shooter game that fans have been waiting for since it was first revealed during Nintendo’s E3 2014 Digital Event. The game is like nothing you have ever seen before from Nintendo. In Splatoon, you play as “Inklings”, characters who can transform between human and squid form in a blink of the eye. Using your special ink gun, you can spray surfaces and walls with goopy ink.

If you’ve followed Mario Party since the first one some-16 years ago, you know just how much has changed. You’re no longer competing head to head on the game boards. You’re not collecting coins, and you’re not racing each other to buy stars anymore. Still, Mario Party 10 shows us that growth isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and changing our traditions, while subtle, can still make a fun game.  Let’s take a look.

With two included games, the newest franchise to receive a high definition port to the new consoles is bringing a great deal of content onto the PS4 and Xbox One.
