I love it when new TVs come out as the technology just keeps improving. The value for the dollar keeps getting better, even if the new TVs aren’t a big step up in features and technology. LG just introduced a new line of TVs for 2015, the LF Series, that I had a chance to get a closer look at even though I wasn’t able to test them out. Two of them were 32” models and the other comes in a 43” and 49” sizes. LG’s LF series, at least so far, are smaller sets than I am used to seeing being introduced.

Let’s be honest. Wires suck. They’re ugly, intrusive, binding, and seemingly everywhere you look. We’re right smack dab in the middle of an era where we all have so many personal electronic devices and gadgets that it seems as though every electric outlet in our homes needs an adapter to accommodate many more inputs than the two for which it was designed. That’s why I was happy to review the new Polk Omni S2 Wireless Speaker. I’ve been looking for a new wireless speaker for my home office for some time now … and the Polk Omni was given the honour of being my first guinea pig.

  CES 2015 started today and LG made some big announcements about where they are going with their TV lineup. CES always provides an excellent preview of what the upcoming year will bring. It looks like 4K is going mainstream, which isn’t a big surprise. But where LG is going with 4K is a bit of a surprise, and a nice one at that!

In 1987, five young guys from Compton formed a hip hop group called N.W.A. They dropped some great beats and honest rhymes, but unfortunately, their rhymes were not received well by authorities. However, they stood up to authorities and revolutionized the hip hop world. 

4K content has been kind of a chicken and egg scenario; people have been reluctant to get a 4K TV because there hasn’t been a lot to watch in 4K. Producers have been reluctant to makes shows in 4K because not a lot of people were adopting 4K TVs.    It appears the tide is now turning, as a slate of new 4K content has been announced for Canada.
