Video games can take us to whole new worlds with increasing realism and now that VR has become a reality, the whole way we play games is going to change. With all this added realism, control in video games has never been so important. Thrustmaster, a well-established and well-respected brand that caters to the simulation crowd, already gives players amazing experiences when it comes to controlling video games. Well if Christmas is on the way, then the end of the year must be just around the corner. And as ever, it’s a great time to look back on the year that was and reflect on the highs, the lows, and the in-betweens. As I have the good fortune to get to play with new cameras from time to time, I thought I’d look back at the best models I got to hold in my sweaty paws in 2014.

2014 was an exciting year for smartphones. Among other things, it was the year of the phablet, with even long-time big screen holdout Apple getting into the game with the new iPhone 6 Plus. I’ve had the opportunity to use the big iPhone (I opted for the more modestly sized iPhone 6 myself), but what I want to talk about today is the latest version of the smartphone that started the whole phablet thing: the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The newest Galaxy Note was a late arrival, hitting Canadian shelves at the end of October, but after spending a few weeks with the device early this year I can definitively say two things: worth the wait and still the phablet to beat in 2015.
