Gaming laptops: it’s all about speed (and portability)

0

Why would you buy a gaming laptop? If your idea of playing games on your PC is Candy Crush, then you wouldn’t. But if your idea of fun is piloting a 24-foot tall Titan or taking on a Zerg swarm and you want to do it on the go (or in the smallest space possible), then you want a gaming laptop. These mobile PCs are small enough to serve as a compact all-in-one PC gaming rig, but also offer the advantage of portability. They will dramatically outperform a typical laptop or Ultrabook when it comes to video games because they are designed with one thing in mind: speed.

Review: The Eurocom Monster 4 roars to life

Around one year ago, I was introduced to Eurocom. I had never played a minute on their laptops but I was hooked immediately. With their user and upgrade friendly hardware and professionally driven designs, Eurocom have become one of my favourite manufacturers. With the new Monster 4, that success continues on. With a sturdy case design, beautiful 1080p displays and ability to take on all of today’s challenges, the Monster 4 packs a mighty roar with a mid range price tag. Check it out.

Review: The G752 serves ASUS and their Republic of Gamers well

0
My household has been fairly loyal to the ASUS brand over the last 10 years. Between my wife and I, 5 of our last 6 laptops have been ASUS ones. We’ve seen them through their gaming ups and gaming downs. The Republic of Gamers G752 is a definite up. A revolutionary cooling and exhaust system, one touch game recording/streaming and a keyboard with features stronger than most mechanical keyboards are some of the great features. It also plays Fallout 4 on Ultra Settings. Read on to find out more.

Review: Eurocom Shark 2

I see a lot of laptops come through my door and many of them try to impress with fancy sculpted cases and LED lighting effects. Granted, looking hot does get some points upfront, but after trying out my third Eurocom laptop in the past few years —this time the Shark 2— I’ve really come to appreciate this manufacturer’s approach. While the Shark 2 doesn’t look cheap, it is understated compared to many laptops aimed at the gaming and graphics professional crowd. It’s also a solid performer with a good display, high quality sound, a powerful Intel Haswell CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M graphics card for gaming.
