On January 18, 2024 Best Buy and Bell announced a strategic partnership that will bring Best Buy stores closer to more Canadians. Later in the year, 165 locations of The Source across Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bell, will be rebranded as Best Buy Express. These retail outlets will offer the latest and greatest tech from Best Buy along with exclusive telecommunications services from Bell, Virgin Plus, and Lucky Mobile.
What to expect from Best Buy Express stores
Canadians already know that entering a Best Buy store is an opportunity to discover the newest televisions, computers, appliances, mobile phones … and a lot more. The new Best Buy Express stores will leverage the respective strengths of Best Buy Canada and Bell Canada to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. The updated stores will feature the selection of products and knowledgeable staff you have come to expect from Best Buy, so you quickly find the right technology for work and play.

How will you shop at Best Buy? This partnership with Bell will make shopping at Best Buy even more convenient for Canadians by expanding their presence into malls in smaller and mid-sized communities across Canada. Best Buy Express locations are expected to open starting in the second half of 2024. I hope Burlington doesn’t lose their Source store as there is only one Tech store in the city.
The already closed down Mapleview Mall – The Source in 2022.
Hoping they keep the other one.
Demographic for Burlington is mostly Senior Citizens. They need at least one Tech store in the city.
It was the same for Haney Place Mall in Maple Ridge last year, even though they did a good turn of business. I hope they’ll come back as a Best Buy Express.
