There are few homes in Canada that do not have an appliance from KitchenAid. Perhaps it’s a blender or a hand mixer. Perhaps you recently discovered the versatility of the new KitchenAid cordless appliances. We wrote about these on the blog about a month ago. Read on to learn more about these appliances and to find out how you can enter for a chance to win one.

KitchenAid has the appliances we use every day

What is your go-to small appliance? For me it’s the coffee maker. I use it everyday. But I also bake regularly; for that, I prefer the hand mixer over my stand mixer or hand blender. Perhaps it’s just habit, but I like to use the hand mixer for most mixing tasks. My only problem with it is actually one that KitchenAid just solved: the cord sometimes gets twisted or is just in the way.

Shelly just reviewed several new KitchenAid appliance including a few KitchenAid cordless appliances. She was very impressed with the freedom in the kitchen that these allow. I can imagine making fewer messes by carrying the mixer straight to the sink and removing the beaters there, rather than over the counter.

KitchenAid appliances just become a part of a recipe

My wife does this all the time. She’ll be making one of her favourite recipes and she’ll ask me to “get the KitchenAid” out of the cupboard. “Which one?” I respond and she looks at me like I’m on another planet and should just know which appliance goes with this recipe. Whether it’s a food chopper, a blender or whatever, these appliances become a necessary component of the cooking process. Are there any recipes that “require” a very specific appliance that you can’t do without?

We sent out some great new KitchenAid appliances for reviews and now that those appliances have returned to my office, we want to give them away in this contest. Perhaps one of these will become part of your daily cooking routine.

  5. I love the 1200 watt blender with a personal blending jar ~ I make my smoothies every morning and with this power, it can crush the ice and puree frozen fruit no problem!

  6. My favorite kitchen aid appliance is the hand blender. It is very easy to use and I use it in my kitchen almost everyday.
    I like blending oatmeal pancake mix. I like making simple smoothies. It is very easy to clean and doesn’t take up that much space in my little kitchen.

  17. My favourite Kitchen Aid appliance is the KA Stand Mixer, which I have owned for more than 20 years and use it regularly, but mostly to make many varieties of bread from sourdough to quick breads.

  19. I would love the food chopper so that I don’t have to hand chop all the vegetables to fill my hand made dumplings and lettuce wraps.

  26. My favourite Kitchenaid appliance would be my flamingo pink Kitchenaid hand mixer that I have had for about 7 years. I have used it to bake so many delicious things like: cheesecakes, cakes, cupcakes, cookies and brownies but i really love making birthdays cakes the most with it.

  28. Kitchenaid stand mixer. I mostly use it for doughs. I like to make brioche dough in it and other kinds of doughs.

  29. My favourite product is the KitchenAid K400 Blender. Been I’ve making pies and cheesecakes lately so it definitely comes in handy to puree and blend!

  31. My favourite is my Kitchenaid stand mixer. I use it with the shredder attachment to shred cheese for pizza. Sooo much easier than by hand.

  42. My favourite KitchenAid appliance would be the KitchenAid Artisan Design Tilt-Head Stand Mixer because I can make bread with it

  47. Out of the above selection, it’d be the cordless hand blender (actually it’s a cordless hand mixer – blenders are a whole ‘nother animal), which would be ideal for whipping up simple cakes or coffee cakes without the hassle of a cord knocking things off the counter.

  50. I love the KitchenAid 1.66L 1200-Watt Stand Blender which is perfect for smoothies and homemade baby food!!
