DayZ is one of the first games to capitalize on the recent surge of popularity in zombie apocalypse games and media. Originally conceived as a PC mod for the 2009 tactical shooter ARMA II, the incredibly positive community response for DayZ ultimately led to its development as a standalone game.

DayZ is the ultimate survival experience, where players must scavenge a fictional post-Soviet Republic in search of sustenance, weapons, and medicine against the backdrop of a viral outbreak. The infected are only one threat however, as players must also choose to cooperate or compete with each other, leading to serious danger in the form of unfriendly opponents in its persistently online landscape.

Luigi’s Mansion 3

Publisher: Nintendo
Genre: Action-adventure
Modes: Single-player, multiplayer
ESRB Rating: E (Everyone)

Mario seems to get all titular adventures that involve sunny odyssey’s to New Donk City and trips to the Olympic games. But what is poor Luigi left with? Another terror-filled trip through a ghost-infested haunted house! The original player two takes centre stage once again in Luigi’s Mansion 3.

Even if we admit to feeling badly about the perpetual state of angst the brother in green must endure, it’s still not enough to keep us away from this incredibly fun series. In Luigi’s Mansion 3 our hero must brave a ghostly hotel and save his friends with the help of Professor E. Gadd and his ghost-busting Poltergust G-00 device. You can even team up online with up to 8 friends in the multiplayer “ScareScraper” mode, and share all the scares!
