It isn’t always easy to come up with awesome gift ideas for the audiophile on your list. Sure, you can try and pick up an album or two that hopefully will appeal to their particular and preferred genre of music. However, you do run the risk of getting something they already have in their music collection, or worse, totally misjudging their tastes and buying them something they just don’t like. However, there are still tons of great options out there that won’t break your budget if you give it a little thought. So, let me give you a few last-minute ideas for gifts for the music lover under $100.

Portable Bluetooth speakers are great gifts

Nobody wants to listen to their music coming from the little bitty speakers in their tablet or smartphone. Nobody. So, when your music lover doesn’t want to use headphones to enjoy their favourite tunes, give them the gift of full blasting stereo sound with a sweet new portable Bluetooth speaker. You can find smaller Bluetooth speakers that would make great stocking stuffers, or spend a bit more cash for a nice soundbar or beefier model for that someone special. Your music lover will be able to take their tunes  anywhere they go, in the backyard, on the beach or at the campsite. The Anker Soundcore is a great little speaker that has an incredible 24-hour battery life. The Bluetooth tech makes it a snap to connect to these types of speakers, so you can share your tunes loud and proud whenever and wherever you please.

Every audiophile needs good headphones

When your music lover doesn’t feel like sharing their music, and instead prefers to b totally immersed in their music, it’s time for a good set of inexpensive headphones. You can pick up a set of stocking stuffer headphones for only a couple of bucks, or opt for something a little more impressive, like the Skullcandy Hesh 2 Over-Ear Headphones or the Sony WH-CH510 Headphones Seriously, everyone who listens to music at home, on the commute or at the office will appreciate a new set of headphones to drown out the outside world while grooving to soul-enriching tunes. Just make sure you know which type of headphone your audiophile will prefer, whether in-ear or over-ear, wired or wireless.

Google Home Mini or Nest Hub makes a great music gift

One Christmas, my lovely and thoughtful daughter bought me a Google Home Mini. It has become one of my most favourite gifts ever. You can use it to get recipes online, jokes and whatever else you would use the internet for – and all with voice commands – but it is great for a music lover like me. I’ve linked my mini to my Spotify account, so all I have to do is say “Hey Google, play…” and it plays whatever song or album I’m in the mood to hear. What music lover doesn’t want the gift of immediate musical satisfaction? For under $100 you can also choose to get the Google Nest Hub, with a 7″ landscape touchscreen that you can watch your favourite Youtube music videos on. Don’t tell my wife, but I picked up one of these for her this year.

Give the gift of music and vanity

Finally, if you have a teen-aged daughter who loves music and is always sitting in front of a mirror doing her makeup, then you may want to pick up the iHome Vanity Mirror Bluetooth Speaker. The LED-lit mirror with three levels of brightness also features a Bluetooth speaker you can stream music to from any device.

Those are just a few ideas and options for gifts for music lovers under $100. Do you have more ideas to share with readers? Let us know what you’re stuffing in your music lover’s stocking or giving them as an awesome gift this year in the comment section below. Happy holidays!
