People young and old need toys and games. Therefore, it’s great to be giving many away in this contest. This is in fact the first of many great toy contests we’ll be doing on the blog this year. It makes sense that this first toy contest of the year is to celebrate Family Day. You can celebrate in many ways. People in Toronto may choose to visit Best Buy’s event in Bentway (where they can enter to win toys and other great prizes). If you can’t make it to that event, you can still win great toys here on the blog. Read why toys are an essential part of life, then learn how to enter to win a prize package with several different toys and games.
Three reasons why toys can change your life for the better
You might wonder why we are giving away a package of several toys rather than lots of individual toy prizes. The answer is quite logical. One toy is not enough for anyone. We are animals, and all animals need novelty to keep their synapses firing and hold our interest. Even my cat will tire of the ball of wool on a string after several minutes … but if I switch to a fake mouse then she excitedly goes right back to having fun. That demonstrates an important fact: smart animals seek out toys and other opportunities to have fun. Here are three reasons why.
- Life is more fun with toys and games. Don’t ever underestimate the benefit of fun. it relieves stress. It build friendships. No matter what age you are, there is a toy or a game that will make your day better.
- Learning is faster when it’s also fun. You’ve likely heard about the benefits of educational toys and STEM toys for children’s education and development. This extends to all ages. Did you know that games can help slow memory loss in adults, and even help people with Alzheimer’s and dementia by slowing the progress of their disease and improving their quality of life.
- Toys make others happy. I firmly believe that part of the reason we are on this planet is to make others happy. Toys can make that easy. Visit the toy and game section at Best Buy and I’m sure you’ll see something there that will make anyone in your family happy.
What toy or game does your family need
I began this article claiming that people need toys and games and I mean it. Family Day is coming up on February 20th so I suggest you start a new tradition: every Family Day from now on, introduce your family to a new toy or game. If you have small children, then you might choose something aimed at that age level. For example, prizes in this contest include the Chevrolet Camaro Electric Ride-On Car shown above and Got2Glow Fairy finders.
If you have teenagers or young adults then perhaps a board game is more appropriate. You can be nostalgic and select one from the distant past like Hasbro’s Risk, Life, or Catchphrase. Alternatively, you can select one of the many interesting new games available like Werewolves, Skull, or Unlock! Mythic Adventures (for a collaborative challenge!).
Many of the prizes we are giving away are fun for all ages including Miko 3 AI-Powered Smart Robot with Voice Control, VTech KidiZoom Creator Cam (with included green screen), and LEGO Technic Mustang Shelby and All Terrain vehicles.
I’m sure you are familiar with the bumper sticker: “The person with the most toys wins.” If you win one of the amazing prize packages in this contest, you’ll take a giant leap ahead of the competition. You’ll also make a lot of people in your family very happy!
How to enter
Entering this contest is easy and you can enter in two different ways.
- In a comment below, tell us which one toy AND one board game available at Best Buy that you most want to see in your home this family day.
- Imagine you could start a new tradition with your family, then in a comment below the Toronto Bentway event article, tell us about one activity you would love to do with your family every Family Day.
What you can win
At the end of this contest, we will randomly draw five winners to win one of these five amazing prize packages:
This contest runs from February 1st to February 14th.
Remember you can enter this contest in three different ways. You might win one of these packages, or if you tell others in your family, they might win. Most importantly, keep Family Day fun with a new tradition that you’ll look forward to every year.
