Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Which one are you dying to add to your collection?

Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

Boost your Star Wars collection with one contest entry

Few people have the dedication, and the good fortune, to have a large collection of Star Wars toys. Enter this contest and that will change. We will give away 2 great collections of this year’s new Star Wars toys as shown here:

Each of these prize packages has intelligent droids, exciting and fun drones, and the just announced, augmented reality wonder: Jedi Challenges—I bet this will be the hottest new toy for Christmas this year!

How to enter

As with all contests on the Best Buy blog, entering is easy. You can enter only once. In a comment below this article, tell us which one of the Star Wars toys in this contest prize is your favourite and why (you must tell us why it’s your favourite).

What you can win

We will randomly choose 2 winners from all eligible entries. One person will be awarded Prize A shown above, and the other will be awarded Prize B. Each prize is worth approximately $1880.

This contest runs from October 20th until November 2nd, 2017.

Remember you can only enter once. With prizes this fantastic, I suggest you increase your chances by telling all of your friends and family to enter too, and propose if any of your win you share the prize! Use the share buttons below to easily post the contest on your social channels.

Good Luck!

  1. The Propel Star Wars Speeder Bike Battling Quadcopter Drone is my favourite because it reminds me of seeing The Return of the Jedi in the theatre when it first came out. The speeder bike chase through the forest of Endor is one of my favourite Star Wars scenes.

  2. Being a gamer, I like the Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges game. Looks like it has a lot of variety and could be a lot of fun to try if it plays well! I like trying new things with motion controls. And who’s never dreamed of being a Jedi?

  3. I love the Sphero Star Wars BB-8 App-Enabled Droid, especially that he moves like BB-8 and you can control him with bluetooth, it really is something out of this world!!

  6. I like the little Sphero Star Wars BB-9E App-Enabled Droid toy. The droid characters have always been my favourites in the movies and as much as I love R2, BB8 stole my heart last year. So, to be introduced to a sinister version now, well, I think that’s going to be a lot of fun. I also love the technology behind rolling around on his ball.

  10. UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot would be my favorite toys. I had the best time during my robotics courses in University where I would buy robotic parts to assemble them together. From the servos, sensors and lens to programming the micro controller to control the robot (robot being a 2 wheeled car and a biped robot).

  14. Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges VR Headset with Saber & Beacon. It would be so awesome to be submerged in the star wars world. So cool.

  16. My favourite is the UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot because I love the feature such as the voice command capability, facial recognition to ward off intruders, and patrolling capabilities to keep your area safe. It sounds so real and intriguing.

  17. R2-D2 is my favourite characater from the films. It would be fun to have the Sphero Star Wars R2D2 enabled droid to play with and watch act out scenes from the films. Beep boop!

  18. Oh my gosh I want them all! But my favourite Star Wars toy of the article is the PROPEL SW TIE FIGHTER DRONE CLR ED because you can battle multiple quadcopters, it goes really fast, and sounds most likely to provide hours of entertainment to our entire family and local Scout Troop!

  19. The Droid Inventor Kit, I want my little one to learn tech and toys like this are the perfect way to make tech fun.

  20. okay the UB TECH STORMTROOPER is without a doubt my favourite I would spend all day playing with this amazing toy !

  21. Prize A is definitely the favorite!! All the droids and drones!! And the VR headset!! My favorite though is BB8! I can only imagine the fun that my first son/daughter will have with everything in the prize packs. They are due in April, but I can promise that mom and dad would probably be playing with everything until the due date. 🙂

  22. Our family would love the littleBits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit, the eldest is at that age where she likes to create and build things, she loves to understand how things work, how to make it better and how to fix things. This would be a perfect family project to build and enjoy this.

  23. I grew up with Star Wars, watching them many times as a kid. Waiting in line for hours with my brother. I would love to win and share my love with my kids. R2D2 is by far my fav.

  24. Lenovo Star Wars: Jedi Challenges VR Headset with Saber & Beacon is my favourite because I’ve always wanted to try VR.

  26. Prize A looks amazing, the prizes are amazing and every generation loves the movies and merchandise, we are expecting our first grandchild in April, and this would be an awesome gift to give them to introduce them into the Star Wars empire!

  27. I would love prize B. My 3.5 year old is a huge BB8 fan! He would love to play with him, and I could be BB-9e.

  28. The Littlebits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit.
Who doesn’t love R2D2 and to make a working droid would be AWESOME! Giving, at least, this would definitely give me Parent of the Year Award!!

  30. Sphero Star Wars R2D2 enabled droid!!! I have BB8 enabled droid but he feel alone, he needs R2D2, friends can’t be separate!!!!! I would love to have both so I can play with my brother and watch the movie with friends!!! PS. Big Star Wars fan!!!

  31. I would love to win the spheroid star wars bbe9 app enabled droid for my son. He loves star wars he has all the droids in his collection and the r2d2 voice controlled from the 90s. I can’t afford to buy this for him and would love to give it to him for Christmas. He even went out as r2 d2 for Halloween. My husband made an excellent replica for him to wear. Thanks

  32. For as long as I can remember, I have LOVED Star Wars!!! I can’t even tell you how many times I have watched it. My favourite character was and still is R2-D2. I love this happy twinklie beeps, frustrated blurts and his sad whistle. It really brought his emotions alive for me. I was hear beep and imagine what it was he was trying to warn Luke about, or how he would sarcastically tell C3-PO off.
For Christmas last year my brother bought me an R2-D2 car phone charger, and every time I use it, I still imagine what he’s trying to say to me, and I reply back. It makes me feel like a little kid again.
It would be the best early birthday present EVER if I could win the Sphero Star Wars R2-D2!!!!!

  33. Ever since I was a boy, I have been fascinated with Star Wars and the idea of using the force. I remember straining to try and move something with my mind to no avail. But if it was possible, how cool would that be! It is for this reason that I would love to get the Lenovo-star-wars-jedi-challenges-vr-headset-with-saver-beacon.

  34. I would have to choose package A, but either package would be amazing because they both of the Lenovo Star Wars Jedi Challenges kit!

  35. Lenovo Star Wars – this will be a dream come true to finally re-enact all those hours of play I did when the movies came out the first time. I can show my kids what I used to do and then remind them of how old I am and how lucky they are, all the while playing with it. To be honest, it will be hard for me to share.

  38. We love the UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot. My husband is a huge Star Wars fan and has now passed that onto our son. My son has a standing date with his dad and papa to see the new star wars movie ever December. These toys would be a great way for them to bond and have something to do together.

  39. I like the Spin Master Star Wars BB-8 Interactive Droid the most because it’s the closest in size to the BB-8 as seen on the big screen and pretty realistic in movement too. I’m a fan of all things Star Wars and have been collecting various things for over 20 years now.

  40. UB Tech Stormtrooper would be like so sweet. The fun I could have with it. I would never stop using it.

  41. The LITTLEBITS STAR WARS DROID INVENTOR KIT is my favorite.
My son has autism and for as long as I can remember, when asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, he has always answered “I want to be an inventor”. He also loves anything to do with Star Wars, be it the movies or any of the toys he already has.
