Scosche at CES 2024

With the growing number of devices we use on a daily basis, charging is increasingly important. We value fast charging, on the go charging, and wireless charging. Scosche’s line-up so far for 2024, debuting at CES 2024, has answers for all of these. Here’s a look at some of the most notable new products in Scosche’s line-up for this year, some of which support Qi2 wireless charging.

What is Qi2?

Before diving into the products, let’s take a look at what Qi2 charging is. This new wireless charging standard is a step-up from standard Qi wireless charging. Developed by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), it offers improved power transfer capabilities, even faster charging speeds, and better energy efficiency. Considering one of the biggest pain points with wireless charging is that it’s significantly slower than wired (particularly USB-C), this is a huge deal.

BaseLynx 2.0 Modular Charging System with Qi Wireless Charging

Scosche BaseLynx 2.0

Perfect for setting up in the home on your nightstand, desk, or shelf, the BaseLynx 2.0 modular charging system is fully customizable so you can put pieces together to meet all your device charging needs. It can charge Qi2-enabled smartphones along with other mobile devices, like Apple AirPods through a wireless charging case.

It comes with four interchangeable modules that connect to one another: a Qi2 Wireless Charging Stand, Multi-Device Vertical Charger with 60W of smart shared power (among three USB-C ports), Apple Watch Magnetic Charger, and the Powered EndCap with a 67W USB-C port and a 120V AC outlet. Naturally, it’s best for Apple device owners but can work with any Qi2-enabled devices.

Qi2 Certified Phone Mounts

Scosche MagicMount Elite

Scosche is known for its phone mounts for vehicles that employ the secure MagicMount system, and there are new models in this category for this year as well. One of the most notable is the MagicMount Elite Charge 3-in-1, which can be mounted on the dash, locking vent, or the back of a screen or tablet. It has a pivoting mount head and slides on an aluminum rail so you can place it perfectly for the best viewing experience while driving.

Built-in cable management coils and conceals the cable behind the mount head for a cleaner look as well. It can mount and charge MagSafe iPhone models, or you can use the included MagicRing Adapter to mount and charge non-MagSafe devices, including both iPhones and Android phones, as well.

PowerVolt Wall Chargers

For use at home as well as on the go while traveling, the PowerVolt wall chargers feature GaN technology, which ensures safe, cool, and efficient charging of everything from your smartphone to your laptop. There are new models that run from single port 30W up to four-port 150W for accommodating numerous devices through a single wall outlet.

Keeping sustainability in mind, they are all made with 75 percent certified post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics. The folding prongs included with many models make them perfect for popping into your carry on or backpack for a flight.

Scosche StrikeLine Charge and Sync Cables

You can never have too many cables, right? The standout here is the new StrikeLine Cobra magnetic cable, which has magnets built into the braided jacket so it stays neatly coiled when on your desk or in your bag for travel. You can even attach it to a magnetic surface to keep it out of the way or coil it onto a phone mount for safekeeping (and so you never lose it!)

Charging is crucial

It’s easy to forget that in order to truly enjoy all the gadgets and gizmos we use on a day-to-day basis, in some cases 24/7, they need to be sufficiently charged up at all times. There are tons of wireless charging products at CES 2024, including these exciting new innovations from Scosche.
