My favourite smart home device is my Google Nest Wi-Fi Smart Learning Thermostat because I can control the temperature through my phone. There has been a noticeable difference with our electric bill as well.
I found the Google Home Speaker is very easy to install, I have several in my home and installed them all myself, very quickly.

While I don’t own any of these ( i would love to though), my fav Smart device I currently own are the Smart LED bulbs that we got last year. Its a small impact but the electricity bill is lower since installing them! little things like that make a big difference when everyone does them

Smart devices are easy to install after you get them connected to the home WIFI.
I like the sound of Sci-Fi Home because it is so futuristic or high-end BUT I prefer home automation because it is practical and purposeful.
My fave is our digital assistant, Alexa. She can turn off our smart TV and lamps. She saves us energy consumption and some footsteps around the house.
