As someone who is always looking for ways to up my skincare routine, I was excited to give this product a try. Keep reading to learn how this product works, my experience with it, and if it does everything it claims.

Hydro dermabrasion vs Microdermabrasion

Hydro dermabrasion is a type of skincare treatment that combines exfoliation, cleansing, and hydration using a device. It involves spraying water or hydrating serums onto the skin to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and hydrate the skin. This treatment is often used to improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance.

You may have heard of microdermabrasion and could be wondering how it differs from hydro dermabrasion. Although both treatments work to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin, there are some differences that you should keep in mind when choosing the right one for yourself. For starters, microdermabrasion uses microcrystals to get rid of dead skin as opposed to water or serums. Hydro dermabrasion is said to be better for anyone with more sensitive skin as it is less intense and more comfortable than microdermabrasion. With all this being said, it is always best to consult a skincare professional before you start any sort of treatment.

How to use the Lucky Skin Hydro and Brush

Lucky Skin Hydro: To use the Lucky Skin Hydro, first make sure it is charged. When you are ready to use it, all you have to do is fill one half of the bottom chamber with water or the hydrating blend solution. Water or the solution will go in the same part that the tiny tub goes into once you attach both parts. To start press the power button. You can change suction levels by pressing the button until your desired suction. Glide the tip over your skin. Make sure to start from the center of your face and move the device towards the outside.

Lucky Skin Brush: to use the Lucky Skin Brush is very easy. First, check the unit is charged. It comes with a charging stand and cable. The one I used was charged right out of the box, so you can press the power button to see if it has power before you start. All you have to do is rinse your face first with warm water, then you can either apply your cleanser on to the brush or directly on to your face. I applied it directly to my face.

Once you are ready, press and hold the button on the brush until it turns on (it will start to lightly vibrate). To change the levels, press the button once and keep pressing it until you get to the desired level of power. There are 4 different levels. When you find the one you like, you place it on your face and move it in a circular motion. The brush will stop every 15 seconds to make sure you aren’t spending too much time on one area of your face.

My experience

Lucky Skin Hydro: The first piece that I tried out was the Lucky Skin Hydro. I was intrigued by the fact that you only have to use water to get results (as it claims). However, as much as I was excited to give it a shot, I was quickly disappointed. As I have sensitive skin, I found that even the lowest level of suction was quite uncomfortable. The very first time I used the product my face went so red that I wasn’t sure if I was even using it the right way. The good news is that it only went red for about 10-15 minutes which I guess is normal for this kind of product. Unfortunately, I was not able to use it on my whole face as I just couldn’t get past the discomfort that it brought me. Overall, I like the idea, it is easy to use, and a nice-looking unit but not something that I would use on a regular basis. That is not to say I don’t think it is a good product for others. Everyone’s skin is different, and I do think that people with less sensitive skin than me would see the benefits from this product.

Lucky Skin Brush: I really enjoyed using this product. It felt nice on the skin, and my skin felt smoother and softer after using it with the cleanser that I use on a daily basis. I also tried it with the hydrating blend solution that comes with the bundle which I really liked. I am all for fragrance-free and natural products for my face and it felt great on my skin. I like how simple it is to use and that it doesn’t take up much of your time to use it. The bristles are rubber, so they didn’t irritate my skin at all (and that is saying a lot because I have very sensitive skin).

Applying makeup after use: In the guidebook that comes with the Lucky Skin Brush, it gives a tip to use the brush just before applying makeup. This is to make your makeup look smoother. I was especially excited to try this out, and I will say it did not disappoint. After using the brush and applying my makeup directly after, I did notice that my skin looked a lot smoother. I usually do wash my face and moisturize before applying my makeup so I wanted to see if using the brush would make a difference and I can say that it did!

The Lucky Skin Hydro bundle is an innovative skincare bundle that can help give you that fresh, glowy look. Although I did not reap all of the benefits it has to offer, you may have a much different experience depending on your type of skin.

The Lucky Skin Hydro solution bundle is now available online at Best Buy.
