Suitcases come in different styles, colours, and sizes. Are you going on a trip for spring break? Picking the right luggage size can help ensure you have a wonderful experience. Here are a few things to consider when deciding which luggage to bring for your next trip. We’re also giving away a Verage Rome expandable luggage and a Champ Vintage luggage set so make sure to read until the end to learn how you can enter for a chance to win.

What kind of luggage will you take on your next trip?

Luggage can be divided into three categories: carry-on luggage (21″), midsize luggage (23″ to 26″), and large luggage (27″ to 32″). While the length of your trip can be a factor in your luggage choice, at least two other elements will influence your decision.

1. What kind of packer are you?

In theory, carry-on luggage pieces are great for a weekend trip, midsize suitcases are ideal for up to two weeks, and large-size bags are a good option for extended stays. However, which size you pick will largely come down to your packing habits. If you tend to overpack, you might need a larger suitcase—even for a weekend. On the other hand, if you’re a minimalist packer, you may be able to fit your essentials in a smaller bag.

2. How will you get to your destination?

The mode of transport you’re planning to take will also guide your decision. Are you going to drive, fly, or take the train? If you’re flying, make sure to check how many bags your airline allows with your ticket, as well as their baggage policy. Many airlines have size and weight limits for both carry-on and checked luggage so you will have to factor that into your decision. If you’re driving or taking the train, you may have more flexibility with both size and weight, although you may still choose to pack light for comfort.

Designs that suit every style

Once you’ve picked the ideal luggage size for you, it’s time for the fun part: selecting your favourite design! Both the Verage Rome luggage and the Champs Vintage luggage set we are giving away feature unique details that will appeal to many.

Verage Rome luggage

Imagined by award-winning designer Peter Burns, the Rome luggage features a timeless look inspired by Roman columns. Its vertical ridges elegantly frame the suitcase, which makes it ideal for both business and leisure trips. It is also available in different colours including black, blue, and yellow if you would like a luggage that stands out. Best Buy blog contributor, Rae Chen, recently reviewed it on the blog so make sure to read her article to see how the Rome’s interior organizers can help you pack efficiently.

Champs Vintage luggage set

As its name would suggest, the Champs Vintage luggage set brings vintage charm to modern suitcases. Boasting a classic band wrapping around each suitcase, their design is reminiscent of the look of old trunks. The set includes a 29″ luggage case and a 21″ luggage case, giving you options to choose from for your trips. Both pieces feature pockets to keep you organized, and the carry-on even comes with a handy removable vinyl zippered pocket, in which you could keep your liquids. This set is available in Black, Ivory, Navy, and Dark Grey. Rae also reviewed it for us so check out her article to learn about her impressions.

If you’re looking for a new luggage or luggage set, head on over to BestBuy.ca to find the best suitcase for your needs. You’ll be able to choose from a wide range of luggage from brands such as Samsonite, SWISSGEAR, Verage, Champs, and more.
