While my smartphone is admittedly indispensable, it lacks the aura and allure of the wristwatch. More than simply a tool to tell time, the watch is also a statement of personal style and a symbol of humanity’s fascination with time and growth. Improving throughout time

I have recently found myself consuming a lot of content about time travel. I just watched the film “About Time” in which a man discovers all the men in his family can time travel, and I’m reading the novel “The Map of Time” which weaves real historic figures and imaginary characters together into a time-bending saga. These works have me thinking about how time has always fascinated and preoccupied the human mind. From fairy tales of prolonged sleep and agelessness, to classic novels like “The Time Machine,” and “A Wrinkle in Time,” to media like “Back to the Future” and “The Twilight Zone,” stories of time travel are all over history.

OK, Kate, you ask, what the heck does time travel have to do with a pair of very stylish Bulova watches? For one thing, watches are, in a way, little time machines themselves.   22. I always liked the Time Machine movie from the 60’s. That is a classic for me and I have watched it many times since I was a child and even with my sons! I mostly enjoyed when he traveled back in time…the future was horrifying!

  25. I would say Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, but not the movie version. The radio show is wonderful, as are the books.

  32. As mentioned Groundhog Day was great, but I found the comedy Hot Tub Time Machine better. With that being said, my favourite tale is not a comedy. My personal favourite belongs to the movie known as Looper.

  46. I’ve enjoyed all of the Dr Who movies and series, it’s my favourite. Did you know that the television programme was produced by the BBC since 1963? There were a lot of tardis’ on the streets back then – now you’re lucky if you can even find one telephone booth, The series is now produced in-house by BBC Wales in Cardiff. I love the way the transition from one actor to another is explained through regeneration.

  48. How to choose my favourite time travel film, let me think. Groundhog Day is hilarious. Avengers: Endgame created a fitting climax of a 20 + movie cinematic universe. I’m also a fan of the anime InuYasha where a girl from modern-ish time is transported back to feudal Japan. I think that my favourite time travel movie, and series, is Back to the Future. I love those Marty McFly and Doctor Emmett Brown hijinx!

  49. One of Superman’s abilities was that he could travel backwards and forwards in time, by flying really fast around the earth. Totally impossible, of course, but the notion used to fascinate me when I read those comic-books as a child.

  50. I love Dr. Who and the way that time travel is handled via complex yet somehow simple explanation. I will send an honourable mention for a fan theory I read about how Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a Groundhog Day type of time loop because of how perfectly Ferris is able to plan his day around all of the ridiculous obstacles he faces throughout
