Out of this world design with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity
The ASUS Gundam limited edition gaming routers have “out of this world’ designs. The AX5400’s white, red, and blue colour scheme resembles the RX-78-2 mobile suite of the Earth Federation Space Force (E.F.S.F.) On one side, it has a LED panel that changes from blue to yellow to complete the RX-78-2 iconic look. The AX5700 red design, on the other hand, is based on the Zeon MS-06S mobile suit, the main rival of E.F.S.F. These are perfect for Gundam fans who are looking to give their work or gaming space at home that added punch.
The cool designs are accompanied by amazing performance. With the ASUS AX5400 and AX5700, you enjoy Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, which is the latest in Wi-Fi technology. So you’re sure that you get high-speed internet and increased coverage. This means you have the ability to enjoy the newest and most sophisticated in games and connect more devices. The AX5400 connects up to 30 devices, while the AX5700 connects 100 devices.
We sent Marcus Wong the ASUS AX5400 and AX5700. Read his review and watch his video, to learn more about what these gaming routers have to offer.
Limited edition gaming routers for Mobile Suit Gundam fans
Mobile Suit Gundam fans are going to love the new ASUS Wireless AX5400 and AX5700, not just because they’re high-speed gaming routers, but they’re Gundam limited edition collectibles that any avid fan would want to display in their own home. The Mobile Suit Gundam series first aired in the late 70s, and from then on, has taken off as one of the most successful mecha anime franchise with millions of fans all over the world.
Mecha is a genre within the Japanese Manga and anime which popularized humanoid characters, from Astroboy to Voltron. During the 1980s in the United States, another mecha franchise, the Transformers, also hit TV and silver screens. Although different in many respects, there are plenty of Mecha fans looking for a crossover of these franchises (as evidence by the many fan crossover stories and videos).

In the basement
When I’m gaming online and the family is watching their ipads, I can tell the signal isn’t as good as it could be. This strong connectivity would be a big problem solver.
I have a dead zone in my house and sometimes the tv just goes out and then comes back on so either of these could really help me with the dead zone
Sometimes my game just freezes and I can’t move, and these routers would really help with that.
We are using the wifi router supplied by the ISP and the range is fairly limited so that the upstairs bedrooms receive a weak signal. The AX5700 would definitely help!
We are all gamers in my family. Issues with on line gaming are frustrating! Either Router would be amazing!!
I have distance issues . poor signal in far off points in the house
I live in a stone house so either would help with stronger signal
The Gundam RX-78-2 AX5400 orChar Zaku II AX5700 wifi range can eliminate my connectivity problem for my PS5 Gaming, my brother gaming PC connectivity, and the other 10+ other devices that are connecting this router. In our house we have many rooms and walls that can make our connection problems worse.
Our wifi router doesn’t have the robustness that is required for all the Smart devices that we are bringing in to our home network. This router can well handle multiple device in different bands.
The AX5700 could really help me in the master bedroom upstairs and eliminate the dead zone I have
The wifi signal in my basement where my gaming setup is located is very poor. The AX5700 Router would eliminate the poor signal once and for all!
The range of the ASUS AX5400 and AX5700 Routers could help me eliminate Wifi dead spots in my house
My home is extremely old with limited options in terms of modem placement. At this moment, my room is literally at the furthest spot away from my modem, and with all the walls, pipes, and objects in between, I’m getting a pretty weak wifi signal – even at 2.4ghz! Needless to say, my wifi speed in my room is abysmal.
We are currently using the router supplied by our internet service provider and the range is terrible the AX5700 would really help keep our devices connected reliably.
I hope that these new routers will speed up our homes Wifi as we have so many devices using Wifi now with 2 adults and 2 kids.
The Wifi 6 speed from the AX5700 is an upgrade from Wifi 5. Multiple streaming devices and smart TVs would have improve performance due to the increased bandwidth.
The Wi-Fi connectivity issue I often encounter that the ASUS AX5400 can resolve is that it can give me the extended range that I need.
Our router does not have great range. I believe the ASUS wireless routers would fit the bill. Thanks for the opportunity.
It would be nice to be able to step outside onto the deck and do some computing in the morning or whenever. this is a problem with my current router and there is not a great range. i believe that either the ASUS AX5400 and AX5700 could resolve this annoying issue and get me outside!!
There is absolutely no way I could game wirelessly with my current router!
dead spots at the cottage
I know the ASUS AX5400 and AX5700 would solve the limited wifi range in my home with my current router.
Signal drops often…
I would like to have the AX5700 red design as it will go well next to my MG Sazabi model. I need speed – my server is the pits – we phone often to get upgrades only to be told – “Not in your area”
Signal drops sometimes
I would like to have the AX5700 red design as it will go well next to my MG Sazabi model.
Problem we have are connectivity in certain parts of house.
kill that dead spot
I would help with the signal range and strength issues I have. Also, would improve the look of my gaming set up by adding a sweet Gundam router.
AX5700. Definitely Wifi 6’s increased speed. Wifi 5 is not enough for multiple devices hogging the band width at the same time.
The speed of my connection never maintains my ISP tells me it’s my router
I have a somewhat weak signal in my office due to the location of my router. These routers have a bit more range, which would more than help fix that. Wi-fi 6 support wouldn’t hurt either 🙂
My wifi connection is poor and slow. I believe AX5400 or AX5700 can fix this issues and give me a better coverage and network!
WIFI disconnected and restarted by itself several times a week, and weak signal in some part of the house. I am sure that AX5400 or AX5700 give better coverage and a stable wireless network.
Our most common problem is not getting wifi all over the house. Only those closest to the modem get the juice.
Wireless range of 2000 or 2400 sqft and strong connectivity from the two models will surely solve my dropped connection issues. Many times while on zoom meetings I get disconnected or frozen…it’s so embarrassing.
WiFi Stability is an issue for my family. We have 10 devices connected to the same WiFi router. The AX5700 router should help my problem
It’ll help handle more wifi devices that my current setup is struggling with.
My wifi always cuts in and out drives me nuts
My phone drops sometimes and the only way to get it back is to turn wifi off and back on.
I’m sure the AX5700 will resolve this issue.
AX5700 because high-speed gaming router – my server keeps telling me they will give me optics but then rescind saying my area is not going to getting it. Hopefully this will be a fix for s – l – o -w internet
AX5700 could resolve my computer’s lack of reception while my husband downloads the camera photos.
We have dead zones in the house because of the layout so this would really help reach those areas that are so troublesome
A common Wi-Fi connectivity issue that I often encounter is with the most distant reaches of my home (living room) which is not very large. There are quite a few walls and a floor that separates the position of the current router and our living room where the family spends most of the time. So the coverage range rating of 3000+ sq. ft on the ASUS AX5700 router could resolve the low signal isses that we often encounter when using the wifi in the most farthest away room from the router.
Our signal is often weaker in parts of the basement which any of these routers would probably resolve.
Our signal is often weaker in our basement which can slow things down, sounds like any of these routers would resolve this
Weak/dropped signal in the bedroom would be fixed!
WiFi Stability is an issue for my family. We have 20+ devices connected to the same WiFi router and my sons always complain intermittent high ping when they play COD using WiFi. When they connect their PC to the router with LAN cable, the issue is not happening. I believe AX5400 or AX5700 can support more devices and provide a stable wireless connectivity, esp at gaming.
Wireless range of 2000 or 2400 sqft and strong connectivity from the two models will surely solve my dropped connection issues.
I need to switch from 5Ghz to 2.4Ghz depending where I am in my home and this might solve that.
