Read on to learn more about Intel’s most advanced processors, including Intel’s 12th Gen processors released this year. Then enter for your chance to win one of the two amazing laptops we are giving away.

Step up your gaming and leap ahead of the competition

Last year Intel released the amazing 11th Gen H Series processors bringing desktop calibre performance to laptops. Intel called it, “Desktop power for any desk” because Intel-powered laptops have evolved to deliver comparable performance of a bulky desktop so you can play high resolution, maximum frame rate games anytime and anywhere.

This year Intel announced an evolutionary leap in computing with their 12th Gen series of processors. We covered the main features of this announcement in an article on the blog at the beginning of this year. Gamers will get huge performance improvements thanks to the new hybrid architecture. The 12th Gen series mobile processors feature up to 6 Performance cores (P-cores) optimized for maximum responsiveness, and up to 8 Efficient cores (E-cores) optimized for threaded workloads and background tasks. Power gamers will be able to overclock both sets of cores to get faster performance than ever before.

Built for the next generation of gaming

Obviously, a gaming laptop is used for much more than just gaming. The ability for a laptop to keep gaming performance at maximum intensity while also performing complex background tasks is becoming more and more important. Many games require a steady connection to the internet during a game, for competing and for communicating with team mates in other cities; for downloading game components and add-ons; and more.

One of the most demanding auxiliary tasks that gamers do is live streaming or live recording for later playback of their gameplay. There are many people already streaming on Twitch and YouTube, and most are not able to stand out. The fact is, many gamers don’t have a machine powerful enough to keep their gaming at a peak level while they stream: the demands of streaming can dramatically impact the quality and consistency of gameplay, and thereby affect how engage their audience is. Imagine the challenges for a laptop to try to keep up with the complexities of a battle, the graphic demands and more, while at the same time capturing the action and sharing it over the internet. 12th Gen Intel® CoreTM powered laptops were built so you get the best of both worlds: the best gaming laptop and the best multitasking laptop ever created. Streaming with a laptop like this may be just what you need to stand out from the crowd.

If you already stream your gameplay, do you post on a social site like YouTube or Twitch or just for fun (you can put your channel link here for some free advertising if you wish).
  2. For up to three (3) additional entries, create a public post on a social media channel (one entry per channel!) telling your friends and followers that you are entering to win a Dell or MSI laptop from the Best Buy Blog’s Intel Gaming days contest; include the hashtag #BestBuyContest, so we can find your post, and include a picture of the prize like that shown here. Then return here and tell us in a comment below, on which channel you posted it and the name of your channel (since many people use pseudonyms) so that I can check and verify your entry. You can use any social media channel (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc) but the post must be public so we can verify it is there. Add one comment below for each social media channel for up to 3 contest entries.

Win a 12th Gen Intel powered laptop Contest Rules and Regulations

Good luck.

  1. I would consider streaming and doing speedruns if I won this contest. I have always been interested in playing games in unexpected ways either by going super slow or super fast, and I could not do esports style performance, but with set variables and practice, I could.

  2. I have a bunch of games in my Steam library so I would like to stream my games while clearing out my backlog. Having a new laptop would definitely be helpful.

  3. Oh man, a computer like that i would use to edit movies and animations! And some better games I guess. Maybe I could stream drawing or cartoons haha

  4. They’re into the 12th generation of that processer now? Wow! It sure has been a long time since my last computer upgrade. I’m not even sure they’d allow my desktop to attempt streaming online nowadays. It’s really that old. Intel i6 from 2014.

  5. I tried game streaming a long time agon without great succes. With all the new tools and a powerfull computer, that could be easier to stream!

  6. I’m not good enough for streaming games but I have been without a computer/laptop for several years now and could really use this. Good luck to everyone.

  7. I have tried streaming gaming content with commentary before, and I may try it again with a laptop like this! It’s a very enriching experience with good communities to interact with.

  8. I wouldn’t stream my gaming but would use it to create new levels on a variety of gaming platforms so they could stream their gameplay. Take care all!

  9. If I had a laptop like this and some good games to play, I’d definitely consider streaming… hard to say whether or not anyone would want to watch though, hahaha

  10. All I want to do is game, stream and be confident that everything will run smoothly. Check us out at

  11. I wouldn’t stream and I am terrible at video games but I wouldn’t mind having a new laptop

  12. I wouldn’t stream because I’m not good enough that anyone would want to watch my gameplay

  13. Even if not on twitch, having the horsepower to quickly stream a game to a friend and not have it lag out would be a huge upgrade! Plus, background recording for clip that moments. Would love to test what 12th gen can do and see how far gaming laptops have come.

  14. I would absolutely share my gameplay if I had either one of these new laptops because I would want to share the premium rush of gaming on these devices because killer streaming is what they were built for and sharing that content is what I was built for. 🙂

  15. I might one day but I would honestly just be so happy to be able to play games on my laptop without crashing it.

  16. I am not streaming mainly because my computer is not able to support streaming + playing. BUT if I win one of those computer I would definitely try to stream. I am not that good so I think people won’t learn a lot by following me but I can sure as hell make them laugh.
