Reading broadens and shapes your mind

Since I was a child, I have loved reading. Even now as an adult, I can’t go to a coffee shop without a book in my backpack. I even remember the first book I ever read: the Call of the Wild by Jack London. It’s the book of my childhood. It shaped my imagination in regards to what Canada is about—magnificent mountains, landscapes, harsh winters, and more. I looked at the Kobo store online, and voila, it is there and for less than a dollar I could download it to an e-reader and relive that amazing experience.

Reading is an amazing activity not only for your brain, but for your mind. It opens it, lets you imagine you can be one of the characters, and live a different life. Lately I’ve been getting into crime books, especially Agatha Christie’s books. They give me a thrill, but I do get a little impatient to discover who’s the real killer. Reading triggers a range of emotions in me; most importantly, it makes you feel things. Nowadays, reading is more accessible than ever, thanks to portable e-readers like the Kobo Sage. With a Kobo, there are no more excuses for not getting started on a new book!

Kobo Sage HD touchscreen eReader with stylus to read in style

If you are looking for an e-reader that lets you store all your books, the Kobo Sage HD touchscreen is what you need. Featuring 32GB of storage, it’s the perfect accessory to keep all your favourite titles, especially when you are on the go. Depending on what you are in the mood for, you can just choose from any genre without having to carry any book. Boasting a 1440 x 1920 resolution with Dark Mode on an 300 PPI E Ink Carta 1200 touchscreen, reading with a Kobo Sage is comfortable and easy on your eyes; you can keep reading for hours. Its waterproof design is also great to take it to the beach or by the pool—or just in the bath without worries. What’s also great is that you don’t have to worry about charging it up every hour since it can last up to weeks on a single charge.

Combined with the Kobo stylus that we are giving away in this contest, you will be able to make handwritten notes in eBooks or PDFs. It’s great for aspiring writers to jot ideas or anyone who likes to doodle notes and reminders. I think for me, it would be a great creative writing experience. I like that you don’t have to worry about carrying a pen and paper and can get those creative ideas rolling freely and edit and transfer them to a computer with ease.

We sent out for honest review this really cool Kobo Sage e-Reader to our blogger Ted Kritsonis. I recommend you to read it through, especially if you are figuring out which one between the Sage and the similarly designed new Libra 2 you might prefer. It’s a great read overall. Then come back, and enter this contest to win the Sage one.

Kobo Sage e-reader Contest Rules and Regulations

Good Luck.

  1. The long battery life is just what I need since I plan to do a lot of reading at my ‘off the grid’ cabin in the bush.

  2. I find myself always struggling to find a pen and paper at any given time, so I really like the note taking feature.

  3. I really love that this Kobo has a dark mode and yellow filter for reading at night time or in dark rooms. I would love to win this!

  4. I love the waterproofing, the battery life sounds incredible, but I really love that it’s compatible with the library. My dying, dusty old Kindle could never!

  5. I would love to have a variety of books on the go with me that I like to reference with my peers. THANK YOU

  6. I love the amount of storage 32gb, and I read at night a lot, so the dark mode is just what I need!

  7. I love the high resolution at 1440 x 1920 and the added Dark Mode both will make reading that much more comfortable and easier on the eyes

  8. Blue light reduction and anti glare are my favorite features. Currently I read on an app on my tablet and my eyes are getting so messed up.

  9. I have dozens of pdfs that I often need to reference- and often when I’m nowhere near my PC.
Sure my phone manages but it does not create a nice experience, least of all if I need to show other people!
The note-taking feature is also super practical!

  10. I live the kobo because its a gatewqy to relaxation amd a mini vacation from lifes stress and worries , its water proof ,has a very long battery life and only takes an hour to fully recharge it .i was a big book worm when i was a kid and escaped thru them so i love the idea of carrying many with me in a sleek compact top of the line device

  11. I like the fact that the Kobo Sage is waterproof because I like to take it to the beach or the pool without worrying about wrecking it.

  12. This looks like an E-reader that has it all. So many great features! I’m really impressed by the battery life! Thanks for the chance to win! I have been wanting an E-reader for quite some time now.

  13. I got a Kobo Forma for my grandma this past Christmas and fell in love with the thing in the few days I was testing it out for her. The Kobo Sage being able to do everything the Forma can and more makes it an exceptionally appealing option. The note taking feature, using the stylus, sounds like it would be especially useful for my classes!
