I actually sent this product to Dave Neufeld for a review from a gamers viewpoint, and to Brad Moon for a review from a productivity viewpoint. Dave found that as a gamer, this was the ultimate epicenter of his gaming setup. Brad, however, suggested that you might not get the most from this unless you regularly managed large files, and had a computer capable of capitalizing on the high data transfer rates from the Firecuda.

  7. Since we would use the 4TB for our gaming system 500 gig would be sufficient to back up all of our pictures and other items on our computer.

  10. 500GB would be enough but there wouldn’t be a lot of extra space as we have a lot pictures, videos and music that needs backing up.

    but a bigger would be better. As most laptops today has
    only little storage, but need more for their datas and hardware.

  40. Honestly, I personally need a few TBs to store everything I have. I save a lot of videos, webms and gifs from the internet and thus need a lot of room to keep me happy.

  41. I would need at least 10TB for all the kids videos and photos over the years. You can NEVER have enough backups of precious memories.

  43. For me, 500GB is a good data backup size. I only need to backup good photos/videos and miscellaneous documents for school.

  50. I would need the 4 terabite storage drive attached to the network at home. Everybody in the house could have their own folder on it for storage.
