Baby tech has been a growing segment of CES over the past few years, and the latest baby tech at CES 2022 is showing parents and parents how technology can be a helping hand as their baby grows.
Baby tech at CES 2022
There were a few different types of baby tech announced at CES 2022, but one that’s sure to be extremely popular is the Amaryllo iBabi Smart.
Amaryllo iBabi Smart
Amaryllo’s iBabi Smart is the world’s first AI-powered baby monitor. It has a high-power CPU embedded in the monitor to perform advanced biometrics without the need for a computer. What does that mean? This baby monitor can recognize when your baby cries or speaks, keep a daily log report on your baby’s behaviour and development, and can warn parents about potentially dangerous situations.
Amaryllo iBabi Smart has 360° auto-tracking technology so the camera can rotate to see your baby’s exact position. It also has 256-bit military-grade encryption so your video feed is safe to watch and share with friends and family.
I’ve used Amaryllo cameras and actually still have one installed over my back door. I love how it can rotate a full 360° so it catches everything, and it has advanced biometric sensing so if there was a fire, the camera would send me a notification.
Chillax Baby Mood AI
Video baby monitors are a must-have for new parents, and we’ve seen the technology improve at light speed over the past few years. Some baby monitors can detect breathing, but Chillax Baby Mood AI takes it one step further. Chillax is the first baby monitor to use AI, and it can detect everything from a blanket covering your baby’s face to your baby rolling over.
Using machine learning techniques, bank-grade encryption, and a privacy control switch, Chillax gives parents a safe and private way to monitor their child. The Chillax Baby Mood AI is packaged with a full HD video monitor, soother, and sleep trainer.
Babysense Cloud smart mattress
Babysense Cloud, a CES 2022 Innovation Award Honoree, is the first smart baby and toddler mattress. This mattress will sense your baby’s micro-movements and assess their sleep patterns. It can also keep an eye on the conditions in the room, so it will sense temperature.
Having a mattress detect your child’s breathing and movements is a great option for parents who don’t want to use wearable accessories or a video baby monitor to detect breathing.
Cradlewise smart crib
I always hoped someone would design a smart crib, and that moment is finally here. Cradlewise, a CES 2022 Innovation Award Honoree, is a smart crib for babies aged 0 to 2 years old. It has an integrated video baby monitor that will alert you that your baby is waking up, and it will actually rock your baby back to sleep with music and predictive rocking.
The crib is self-learning, which is pretty amazing, so it grows and adapts along with your baby. I would have loved to have this when my babies were little. The only thing that kept them napping was the swing, but when they slept in their crib at night I would get up over and over again to rock them back to sleep. If you’re a new parent or a parent-to-be, this could be a sleep-saver.
