PlayStation VR, simply put, is out of this world. I already had great experiences with Sony’s newest gaming platform at events like Tokyo Game Show, E3, and Fan Expo Canada, but even my admittedly high expectations were blown away after spending a dedicated week with the VR headset. Sony’s VR tech may not have been the first to the market, nor is it the most powerful, but it offers the best combination of hardware, software, and price of any VR platform available today.

Fall is here and you know what that means, the fall gaming bonanza where publishers roll out their most anticipated AAA games of the year. To help keep you in the loop on what games are the hottest video games this fall, here are the top games everyone will be playing.

Destiny: The Collection contains all of the content from the award-winning first-person shooter franchise to date. BioShock: The Collection for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 brings together three award-winning games into a single package: BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite. Fully remastered in glorious 1080p resolution, BioShock: The Collection is the ultimate collection fans have been waiting for.

During a recent one hour guided hands-on demo I had with Mafia III, what impressed me the most is the game’s commanding sense of believability. Every square inch of the fictitious town of New Bordeaux (modelled after 1960’s New Orleans), and the cast of larger-than-life characters that inhabit it, felt purposeful and alive—without the extraneous padding often found in large open-world games. It’s this rigorous attention to detail and focused gameplay that could very well make Mafia III a runaway hit during this busy fall season.

The wait is finally over! Sony's highly-anticipated virtual reality headset, PlayStation VR, coming out on October 13. I'll have a full review of the VR device coming soon, so stay tuned. This month also marks the launch of two huge first-person shooter games with the arrival of Battlefield 1, taking us into the visceral all-out combat of World War I, and Titanfall 2, which is coming to PlayStation gamers for the very first time. To celebrate the follow-up to last year’s smash-hit Yo-kai Watch for Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo of Canada recently held a fun, family-friendly launch event in the heart of Toronto’s Liberty Village. Not only did children and parents have the opportunity to play a demo of Yo-kai Watch 2, but they could also enjoy tons of other activities like watching an advance screening of the Yo-kai Watch Season 2 anime, browse Hasbro’s upcoming Yo-kai Watch toys, and even meet Jibanyan—the series’ cute cat Yo-kai mascot.
