Meet the Sony X800H 4K HDR Ultra HD LED TV

The Sony X800H Ultra HD LED TV provides a beautiful picture with rich real-world detail and a wider range of brightness. Powered by the 4K HDR Processor X1 and featuring a TRILUMINOS Display, you’ll get pictures that are true-to-life, vivid, and jump off the screen to provide an immersive and cinematic experience.

As an Android TV, the Sony X800H also features Google Assistant, allowing you to control the TV, as well as other compatible smart devices in your home, simply by using your voice. Plus, you can access apps from Google Play, tap into your favourite streaming services, such as Netflix, Crave, Amazon Prime Video, and cast content using built-in Chromecast.

Aesthetically, the TV employs a gorgeous design with a narrow bezel that blends into any environment to provide a refined look. This way, you can focus on the big picture on the screen, not the TV.

Upscale any content

Whether you’re watching content in 4K through a connected Blu-ray player, streaming service and appropriate subscription, cable/satellite TV set-top box, or even home movies, you’ll get a brilliant and improved picture. This is thanks to the 4K HDR processor X1 and 4K X-Reality Pro upscaling technology.

The 4K HDR Processor X1 results in rich, real-world detail and texture, no matter what you’re watching. Even images filmed in Full HD can upscale to close to 4K resolution via 4K X-Reality Pro using the unique 4K database.

This means you can futureproof your living room, or whatever room you place this TV in, so it’s ready for when more 4K content becomes available while still providing an improved viewing experience with standard HD content.

Enhanced colour with TRILUMINOS Display

Sony’s TRILUMINOS Display, found in the X800H, helps you see what the creator intended when watching movies, binging TV series, catching up on the latest sporting events, and more. You’ll see enhanced colours and gradations through a wider colour spectrum.

The TRILUMINOS Display is powered by Sony’s 4K HDR Processor X1, allowing it to reproduce more colours than a conventional TV. This is achieved through the TV analyzing and processing data in every image in order to reproduce colours that are not only more precise, but also more natural.

Combine this with Dolby Vision, which helps provide striking highlights, deeper darks, and more vibrant colours, and the result is an advanced picture with better colours and light gradations that can bring scenes to life.

Watch your favourite content, control playback by voice

As a smart Android TV, the Sony X800H provides a smarter viewing experience that can make your life simpler. It gives you access to all of your favourite streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube, along with access to Google Play apps, including games, and music through services like Spotify, and more.

You can also cast content to the TV from a mobile device, like a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer, using Google Chromecast, which is built right into the TV. Or share content from your Apple Device with AirPlay 2 support.

Additionally, the inclusion of Google Assistant means you can control playback and more using your voice. Press the Google Assistant button on the included TV remote and search for movies or TV shows or get on-screen answers to queries about everything from the latest sports scores to the weather. You can also control compatible and connected smart home devices right from your TV via vocal commands.

  1. I like the Sony X800H 4K HDR Ultra HD LED TV. Sony’s TRILUMINOS Display is very interesting

  2. The Sony 4K HDR processor X1 and 4K X-Reality Pro upscaling technology looks amazing ! The Sony 85″ 8K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV (XBR85Z9G) would be #1 on my wish list !

  3. I would like to know as well. I don’t know why Sony would switch from a base to legs. It doesn’t seem to make the TV very stable. I hope Best Buy or Sony responds.

  4. I have a custom-built TV table with cabinet for my existing Samsung TV and want to reuse this table for this Sony TV (49″ XBR49X800H). Just wonder how far is the stand ‘feet’ from the edge of the TV because I need to determine if it will sit on the table. By the way, is the length between the 2 ‘feet’ adjustable, ie can move wider or narrower?

    Thank you.
