Best Buy has been the go-to place for new game releases and to pre-order upcoming games in Canada for a long time. Canadians have come to expect that Best Buy will not only have the new games, but also talk about the new games on the blog so you can decide which ones are right for you. We did that for the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Blog writer Dave Neufeld tested the beta version of that game and told us all what to expect. If you are one of the thousands who can’t wait to play this game then this contest is perfect for you: enter to win an amazing COD: Modern Warfare prize bundle worth approximately $600! Read on to learn all of the details.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a very fast paced First Person Shooter game
Are you expecting to be challenged from your games? It’s likely that will happen with the new version of Call of Duty. Reviewer Dave Neufeld played the beta version that was available last month and he learned a thing or two … about how easy it is to die that is. As he says in his article:
It seems like death comes more quickly than ever before in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta, with powerful weapons and clever hiding places allowing those keen players with the sharpest skills to dispose of casuals like myself like shooting fish in a barrel.
Prepare to die! Just kidding! Instead I should say … prepare to win a fantastic prize package.
Be the envy of Call of Duty enthusiasts world-wide
This prize package is really the ultimate COD bundle for anyone who has ever loved the various iterations of this game. As shown in the image at the top the prize bundle includes:
- Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® Standard Edition for PS4™
- Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® Cap
- Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® Limited Release Pin
- Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® Crew Sock

Hey, let’s talk refresh rate, PC gamers have been saying the gold standard is 60 fps or more, and have been pushing 144+ with new hardware.
Consoles have been 60 Hz traditionally, but will be supporting higher native refresh rates soon.
What does this mean for next gen console gamers, and the hardware/TVs they will be using?
I would like to see an article about your personal gaming collections and memorabilia. Being in the industry, it’s likely that each of you possess some really interesting and unique items from events and promos for new games.

I would like to see an article about streaming platform vs traditional gaming medias, the pros and cons. The chances of google with Stadia on a market shared by Steam, psn, xbox and nintendo.
If you look at the games that are top rated, critically acclaimed, are the defining qualities that make them the best different depending on the genre and platform or is there something that spans the gamut, the one quality that a game must have to be great?
I would love to see more reviews for the latest game and hardware releases
Do you think annualized games I.e: FIFA, NHL, COD, would benefit more by doing a yearly content drop (updating rosters, new content updates) rather than release a new version of the game every year?

What was the first game you ever remember playing?
Hmmm, I guess my question would be what makes a great game? I tend to like most games, even ones people hate, but at the same time I just can’t get into the online versus type games. I just have little interest in fighting other live people. Racing and Co-Op are fine… It’s weird.
I’d like to see a review of alarm clock/ charging stations
Best Buy USA has been able to sign a contract with Limited Run Games to sell/distribute their line of products for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Best Buy USA stores. Is Best Buy Canada able to leverage this relationship to get some of those games sold in Best Buy Canada stores ?
With the new Best Buy Canada “Experience” stores shrinking down movies and videogame sections down to one small rack or area , is there a future where Best Buy Canada gets out of selling movies and videogames entirely ?
The Atari VCS looks like a pretty cool modern homage to the retro console. I’d like to hear some thoughts and opinions on it, what games you’re most looking forward to revisiting with it, and how you feel it will compare to other retro consoles.
