BenQ projectors

Projectors have been around for many years, yet I don’t think they get the love they deserve! They are more versatile than a television, can display everything from movies to presentations on a huge range of surfaces, and they enable to project a huge range of image sizes. Find out for yourself: enter to win one of four BenQ projectors from BenQ and Best Buy.

Many years ago, when my children were younger, I bought a projector to use as the main display in my basement home theatre. I was shocked that it never stayed in one place: my wife would move it to the bedroom to watch a movie when she was sick in bed, my kids would move it to their bedrooms for sleepovers, and I even took it to work a couple times for presentations. That’s something you certainly can’t say about a television. Rarely a day went by that it was not used for movies, gaming, work and more.

What are some of the great features found in BenQ projectors

Get one of the newest projectors in your home from BenQ and you’ll be amazed at how much you’ll use it. The prizes that we are giving away in this contest, two BenQ SVGA DLP Data Projectors (MS517EH) and two BenQ 1080p DLP Home Theatre Projectors (W1090) were reviewed here on the blog by Erin Lawrence: read her review and you’ll learn why she was “blown away.”

Here are some of the features that impressed her about both projectors:

  • virtually no set up required; plug it in and it is ready to go
  • projected a massive image with amazing clarity
  • bright display even in a brightly lit room

… and specifically about the W1090 (which is designed for home theatres)

  • automatically found the input source including Chromecast
  • picture was remarkable: “this picture rivaled any TV”
  • internal 10W speaker provides fuller sound than the data projector

Which of these features stands out for you as the best? Will you use it mostly for work, for streaming movies … maybe for gaming! Enter now and you may get to find out for yourself how great BenQ projectors are.

  1. My favorite feature is the fact that there is vertually no setup. it is conveinent to just plug in and go.

  2. The feature I like the most is “virtually no set up required; plug it in and it is ready to go”

  3. Being able to have a 120 inch HD image without taking out a second mortgage is what I love about the HT projector.

  4. Definitely the ability to use this projector in a bright room. I think once projectors can work well in rooms that have moderate light coming through them, people will realize that projectors are the way to go if you want the ultimate in home movie experience.

  5. I would primarily use the projector at the art gallery to help artists out, but from time to time it would be great to be able to take it with me to art fairs, or outdoor venues to screen short films on in our neighbourhood.

  6. I would love to have a projector again! We had one at our art gallery (#Hashtag Gallery) to help emerging artists showcase their work, and screen independent films to help build the arts community in Toronto. We’ve been without one now for about 4 months. I’d like to be able to start screening films, and hosting interactive video installation and projection mapping projects again.

The fact that it also works with Chromecast is a huge perk. Taping wires along the ceiling is always a bit of a hassle.

  7. I love that it’s portable and has virtually no set up. I could take it anywhere with me for work or play!

  8. I would love to have a 1080p Home Theatre projector such as the BenQ 1080p DLP Home Theatre Projector W1090. I like the short through distance, 1080p resolution, bigger image capabilities and immersive feel to watching content. A projector like this would complement my TV viewing on my 4K TV.

I like the fact that is portable and you can take it to friends for a big game or movie night or leave it in your home theatre for the big movie night. You can’t move a 70″ TV around like you can project a 100″ image on any wall or white sheet as an improv movie night but then again I would like a dedicated screen setup.

  9. BenQs are awesome, we use our 6 year old one all the time in our home-based business and it never fails. Even on the first bulb!

  10. The feature I like the most is “virtually no set up required; plug it in and it is ready to go”

  11. Loving the features of “plug and play” and that it’s 1080P! Would love to try my Chromecast out on this!
