BenQ projectors

Projectors have been around for many years, yet I don’t think they get the love they deserve! They are more versatile than a television, can display everything from movies to presentations on a huge range of surfaces, and they enable to project a huge range of image sizes. Find out for yourself: enter to win one of four BenQ projectors from BenQ and Best Buy.

Many years ago, when my children were younger, I bought a projector to use as the main display in my basement home theatre. I was shocked that it never stayed in one place: my wife would move it to the bedroom to watch a movie when she was sick in bed, my kids would move it to their bedrooms for sleepovers, and I even took it to work a couple times for presentations. That’s something you certainly can’t say about a television. Rarely a day went by that it was not used for movies, gaming, work and more.

What are some of the great features found in BenQ projectors

Get one of the newest projectors in your home from BenQ and you’ll be amazed at how much you’ll use it. The prizes that we are giving away in this contest, two BenQ SVGA DLP Data Projectors (MS517EH) and two BenQ 1080p DLP Home Theatre Projectors (W1090) were reviewed here on the blog by Erin Lawrence: read her review and you’ll learn why she was “blown away.”

Here are some of the features that impressed her about both projectors:

  • virtually no set up required; plug it in and it is ready to go
  • projected a massive image with amazing clarity
  • bright display even in a brightly lit room

… and specifically about the W1090 (which is designed for home theatres)

  • automatically found the input source including Chromecast
  • picture was remarkable: “this picture rivaled any TV”
  • internal 10W speaker provides fuller sound than the data projector

Which of these features stands out for you as the best? Will you use it mostly for work, for streaming movies … maybe for gaming! Enter now and you may get to find out for yourself how great BenQ projectors are.

  1. Could really use this to set up a movie night marathon. The automatic input selection is fantastic.

  2. Best features are that it is portable, easy to use, high quality bright image on a big screen without the bulky TV. Less environmental foot print than TVs and picture that rivals HDTVs.

  3. I would use this in my living room. I have an amazing circluar open space that is vastly unused and this would be perfect to entertainment viewing. My biggest issues with projectors is the set up! The best feature about this is that there is vitrually no set up required. Fire up and go! The kind of technology i need 😉

  4. Very important for the projector to be able to display massive images with amazing clarity, otherwise you’re better off using a tablet or something smaller.

  5. “projected a massive image with amazing clarity” – as someone who loves a good crisp image, projectors/screen sizes of this magnitude are always a worry.

  6. Best feature is that you can plug it in and it is ready to go! I’m unfortunately a pretty lazy person so I need something that can hook up quickly and work.

  7. I would use this in my moms classroom, she is a preschool teacher and this would really take her teaching to a new level!!

  8. My favorite feature is that there is virtually no set up required; plug it in and it is ready to go!! I am the WORST with technology so this feature makes it easy to use for everyone!!

  9. Definitely like the plug and play. With 5 children, makes the whole experience just that much easier. Great machine it is!

  10. My favourite feature is that there’s virtually no set up. The fact that it’s quick and easy to use is great and will be fun for the whole family.

  11. My favourite feature is “virtually no set up required; plug it in and it is ready to go”.

  12. Plug and play is always a great feature, it will save time and prevent frustrating involved in setting up a new projector system

  13. I love how easy it is to set up and the 13,000 contrast is a great feature. I would set it up in my family room.

  14. the fact that all you have to do is plus it in and its pretty much ready to go is a great thing for me since im not very tech savvy. i would use it for streaming and love the idea that the picture is like a television….

  15. Love the high picture quality and it’s extreme portability. Would use it most at my house and frienfs’ houses!

  16. Exactly what I´m looking for conferences, classes and media playing at different places, will use it mostly for work but also for fun at home, a home cinema in HD!

  17. I would use it mostly in my living room/rec room to complement my LED TV setup which would be for regular TV. I would use the project for movie night but I like the portability aspect that I could take a projector like the BenQ 1080p DLP Home Theatre Projector W1090 anywhere such as parties (party room) or a friends to enjoy unlike a TV.
