BenQ projectors

Projectors have been around for many years, yet I don’t think they get the love they deserve! They are more versatile than a television, can display everything from movies to presentations on a huge range of surfaces, and they enable to project a huge range of image sizes. Find out for yourself: enter to win one of four BenQ projectors from BenQ and Best Buy.

Many years ago, when my children were younger, I bought a projector to use as the main display in my basement home theatre. I was shocked that it never stayed in one place: my wife would move it to the bedroom to watch a movie when she was sick in bed, my kids would move it to their bedrooms for sleepovers, and I even took it to work a couple times for presentations. That’s something you certainly can’t say about a television. Rarely a day went by that it was not used for movies, gaming, work and more.

What are some of the great features found in BenQ projectors

Get one of the newest projectors in your home from BenQ and you’ll be amazed at how much you’ll use it. The prizes that we are giving away in this contest, two BenQ SVGA DLP Data Projectors (MS517EH) and two BenQ 1080p DLP Home Theatre Projectors (W1090) were reviewed here on the blog by Erin Lawrence: read her review and you’ll learn why she was “blown away.”

Here are some of the features that impressed her about both projectors:

  • virtually no set up required; plug it in and it is ready to go
  • projected a massive image with amazing clarity
  • bright display even in a brightly lit room

… and specifically about the W1090 (which is designed for home theatres)

  • automatically found the input source including Chromecast
  • picture was remarkable: “this picture rivaled any TV”
  • internal 10W speaker provides fuller sound than the data projector

Which of these features stands out for you as the best? Will you use it mostly for work, for streaming movies … maybe for gaming! Enter now and you may get to find out for yourself how great BenQ projectors are.

  1. I’d use it for work. Being able to see on a really large screen what I’m doing in editing (Photoshop & Illustrator) would be amazing!

  2. The plug and play like features. Set it up and BAM no need for a movie theater ever again. I’ll bring the popcorn!!!

  3. I would set this up in our living room, so that we could enjoy some big screen gaming and movies!

  4. The best feature looks to be the plug and play ability. no need to fiddle with a bunch of configurations and sometimes confusing menus to get it going.

  5. The best feature for me is this one: “automatically found the input source including Chromecast”. Me and my kids used Chromecast a lot. Using this in combination with this projector would be awesome for the whole family

  6. Where you will you use the projector the most (work, living room, bedroom, etc.): the most … probably the living room; however, it will probably be used all over our house … maybe even outside for family ‘drive-in’ theatre night 🙂

  7. Where will I use it? I would use it for my living room! I’m a broke university student and we need something in my house to fill up the space! It would be lovely

  8. Which of the features of BenQ projectors is your favourite: Versatility – plug in almost anything almost anywhere!

  9. I love you can use it even in the light , i would use it in my living room the most , but i love how its so portable

  10. Best feature? Virtually no set-up! It’s easy to set-up and use. Making this a more portable item to use all around the house.

  11. I plan to use this projector at home, but as it’s so easy to setup, I’ll probably end up bringing it with me when visiting my parents up north!

  12. For me, the ultra bright display will be my favourite feature. We often have light leaking in through the windows and need to have that extra brightness. 2nd would be the built in speakers.

  13. Picture quality, *limitless screen size… Between movies and all my gaming systems, the quality and capabilities of these projectors would make them all an experience!

  14. Would be a blast to use this to watch movies on the side of the house under the stars during the summer.

  15. Second Entry: I would use it most in my bedroom to project movies on my wall to have a large display instead of the small TV I own.

  16. First Entry: The incredible display, I like watching movies so the projection rivalling TVs is a huge plus.

  17. The ability to project up to 300 inches onto the house makes this projector ideal for outdoor ‘drive-in’ movie nights this summer in the backyard!

  18. I would use this projector mostly in my living room to watch movies and play video games on it.

  19. I like the throw ratio of the W1090. Large image for big movies without needing a giant room. 🙂

  20. I would mostly use this at home to stream Netflix, but would definitely loan it out to a couple local non-profits where I volunteer so we can use it for public awareness events.
