When buying a new TV, look for new tech that will last a very long time like that found in Sony’s latest selection of televisions. Most people don’t purchase televisions frequently. We want the few that we do buy, to last a long time. As such, it’s best to choose from a list of the largest most up to date televisions available within your price range. The TV we are giving away in this contest, a Sony BRAVIA XR X95K 75″ 4K UHD HDR Mini-LED Smart Google TV, is likely going to be at the top of that list for many people.
How long should a new TV last
My living room television is very old. I bought it about twenty years ago. I found a good deal at that time on a very thin, forty inch, which at the time seemed huge, 1080p resolution Sony TV and have loved the image quality and performance ever since. In fact, the image seems just as good as it was when I bought it. I paid as much as I could afford on a TV at the time and feel like I got excellent value for my money.
I think that is the real barometer for how long a TV should last. I bought a 4k TV for my mother-in-law about 6 years ago and it stopped working after about 3.5 years. And it was could not be repaired! Obviously that set was a disappointment. It wasn’t a Sony, but I did replace her broken set with a Sony. The best part about this story was that I bought four-year Geek Squad protection, and it returned the full value of the set that broke, which I applied to the new Sony TV.
How to choose the best TV for your needs
Earlier this week, a friend asked for my help selecting a new TV for his home. I brought up the Best Buy online selection of televisions and explained the key factors he should consider, asking a few important questions. We narrowed down his options to a list of about a half-dozen candidates. Importantly, we started with brand: he said that he has always bought Sony and is most familiar with that brand. Apple users tend to stick with apple, Microsoft fans tend to stick with windows tech, Samsung fans stick with Samsung (admittedly I fall into this category for phone tech!) and Sony fans stick with Sony.
The second consideration I brought up with him was TV size. He explained that he measured the space on his wall where the TV will be mounted and didn’t think he had ceiling height for anything bigger than about 75 inches. The considerations we brought up then were between 72 and 78 inches: I suggested he get the biggest set he can accommodate for maximum enjoyment as long as he owns the TV.
Lastly, we talked about the newest technology and screen resolution. I explained that the newest tech is Mini-LED which is credited with producing an image that rivals an OLED screen. I explained how the image is created and the pros and cons of Mini-LED vs OLED. Read this detailed article to learn for yourself. I explained that either choice will be amazing for his home. Which one would you choose if you were him?
The newest tech is the Sony Mini-LED and you have a chance to win one just like those I was suggesting for my friend in this contest. We sent this TV for an honest review. So read that review then return here to enter the contest.

The best 2 qualities are definitely picture quality and refresh rate for sports – it’s always sports on our tv!
the reliability and user-friendly
After reading the article, I really liked that the Gaming on this TV is exceptional, and I think the added PlayStation 5 features are really going to appeal to gamers. I know this feature is going to be a huge benefit for my family and will sway our buying decision.
The top two important things we look for when purchasing a new TV is picture quality and the size of the TV. I had the pleasure of seeing the Sony 75” 4K MiniLED TV, and I can say that I have never seem picture quality like it. I was blown away.

The top features when I look at a TV are size, and it has to be a trusted brand. I’ve had my share of non name brands and they always have something wrong with them.

Top two important things we take into account when looking for a TV is picture quality and the size of the TV
size for sure, and brand
Size and pixel response, I hate when a tv ghost an image because the pixels can’t refresh fast enough.
picture quality & size
picture quality & size
picture quality & size
picture quality & size
For me the most important features when buying a TV are color accuracy and motion clarity
The important things I look forward in TVs are, the quality of the picture with advanced technological features and of course size with less weight.
I like Sony brand and in fact I have been using at my home, clear picture quality with good brightness and quality of the product. At the end brand speaks more!
1- The most important features for me are the picture & sound quality; very very important.
The two features important for me is the size and picture quality.

The Ultra Thin Build is impressive and one of the multitude of great qualities from the review.
The picture size for the ManCave and clarity of the sound is so important to me!

When looking the picture size and quality is very important and I like the fact that it has 178 degree viewing angles
The top 2 things I look for and are important to me are the size, and clarity (quality of the picture) along with being able to use devices with it for gaming, movies, apps etc!
Top 2 things would be the excellent processing you get from Sony TV’s as well as 120hz for gaming.
I think what i like about this TV is that it has the newest tech which is Mini-LED which we are lacking in our current TV
I think size, and compatibility with current technology would be most important. Things we are currently lacking in our TV.
My top two features are number of HDMI ports (Beause I hook up about 15 different things to it) and size. I like ro hook up a lot of consoles at once so I’m always at the ready for anything I decide to play.
The top two features that are important to me when I am looking to buy a new TV is picture quality & size – thanks for the generous contest & chance to win!!
Must haves when buying a TV 1) 120hz for suuuuuure
2) it’s gotta be a Sony. Haven’t ever bought a tv that wasn’t a Sony (probably got that from my dad!)
My favorite feature of the Sony MiniLED is definitely the XR Triluminos Pro, XR Backlight Master Drive, and Cognitive Processor XR. Picture quality is the reason we keep buying Sony!
Size, bigger is better, and resolution/framerate.
I look for great clear picture quality and compatibility with gaming systems, headphones, sound bars and streaming channels.
The top two features I look for in a tv is definitely picture quality and support for 4K resolution. Second would be the refresh rate, as I still use the main TV to play video games.

Number of HDMI ports and 4K picture quality are important to me
The top 2 features for me when buying a new TV are vital to my decision.
1. The picture quality. I love a TV that can make you feel like you are right there when you are watching your favorite movies. Graphics are the best part of most movies besides the storyline. 4K is the best experience ever, especially with a TV like THAT one.
2. Intelligence. That pretty much sums up all of the cool technology and capabilities of the entire list of features…especially the features for high performance gaming.
Size would have been #3. hehe
1. 4k@120hz
2. Black levels
